Liberals like Reich aren’t dissatisfied with Obama because his policies are wrong, they’re unhappy with him because he hasn’t gone far-left radical enough to satisfy them.
Or is it something deeper? Whether it's Wall Street or health insurers or oil companies, we are approaching a turning point. The top executives of powerful corporations are pursuing profits in ways that menace the nation. Hell, I could have written a better speech. I was amazed by how badly it was written. This is not a time for politics and policy. Totally inappropriate.
As a contrast, I watched Reagan's Challenger disaster speech. You want to see how a great leader handles a disaster when speaking to America, watch that speech. Not a perfect analog, but still an amazing contrast.
