A little context here -- HIS CONSTITUENTS ( the hopeless city of New Orleans) were IN FAVOR of the bill by a huge margin. He was their representative and they gave him a piece of their mind at their town hall.

The GOP allowed him to cast the favorable vote when they knew that all was lost and his casting a no vote would not have mattered one way or the other.

For good or bad, I'd give Cao props for listening to his constituents. If more Congress-critters would do that, the whole nObama-care fiasco would have gone down in flames to begin with.

I wish these oil company execs would appoint their own commission to study what went wrong and announce the loss in jobs and wages due to the idiotic premature shut down of other rigs in the gulf.

I think it's time for the oil companies to become more assertive...or we're all going to be riding horses or bicycles ...thanks to Cap and Trade Barry !

Sure, the one guy who actually listened to his constituents, just happened to vote with the Democrats. Big surprise. He’s a RINO, who should have run as a Democrat, but of course, if he did that he would not have won an election. Sometimes, constituents are wrong. I guess he is just representing his constituents when he advocates suicide, or at least trying to sound like he’s a big man. I knew the context before I wrote the comment.
