any details?
Sounds dizzying.
Listen!
Can you smell that?
I’ve lived here most of my life and it’s the most frequent I’ve ever felt (oh yeah, I’m old!)
It wasn’t in the brochure? You didn’t read the fine print, did you?
Really, it’s okay. You’ll get used to it.
Hippies! San Francisco!!
Bugs! Florida!!
If I’m not mistaken I think KOGO (600 am) runs C2C overnight down there.
Sometimes if Noory is broadcasting from SoCal (he splits his time between LA and St Louis I think), he’ll have interesting lead ins in at the beginning of the show following a quake.
His show starts in a couple minutes. Could be he won’t cover it, but sometimes it’s interesting.
Think the cause was just found:

Most people are injured from unsecured heavy objeacts in their homes, like bookshleves, heavy objeacts like TVs that are suspended or on top of chests, freestanding bookshelves and hutches.
These should be bolted to the wall or floor, or made safe.
Katrina taught us we need to be independent for a couple of weeks, not the 3-5 days recommended in the past.
Good luck, you’ll get used to the rock-n-rolling!
Snakes! Desert!!
Sharks! Pacific Ocean!!
Stupidity! Washington DC!!
The first quakes I ever experienced were in Alaska when I was a girl.
Enjoy your stay; now you have a real California experience to brag about!
5.7 centered 5mi SE of Ocotillo....
(KFI News)
Yeah, I experienced that too - on top of Mission Valley.
I thought it was about over .. and then suddenly it shook harder .. but by the time I reached my door - 5 steps - it had stopped.
Good luck sleeping soundly tonight .. LOL !!
“It was like 911” (whatta ahole)
I’m tellin’ ya, the stress keeps moving southward.
Pre-shock? Hope not.
Looking to buy RE on a eastern side of the local mountains to build a landing for a water taxi service AZ-CA when the Sea of Cortez extends itself into the desert southwest.
The area of the quake is at or below sea level.
Quakes come in swarms lasting years. We are in the middle of a swarm.
Thats what they say in San Diego !
I lived farther north in the 1990s (Inland Empire) and the Landers Quake and Northridge were off the charts.
I thought the house would shake off its foundations - one was east and one was west, but they released enormous energy, Northridge taking down the I-10 in Santa Monica.
Either that or become unemployed. :)
You must speak fairly good spanish.
Even when living north of here in Riverside, where the San Andreas, San Jacinto, and Elsinore Faults are in close proximity, and having felt quakes coming off all three of them, I have never experienced this frequency.
Speaking of swarms, check out the YMR recorder on the Yellowstone site. Southern CA is not the only place shaking tonight!
About 4 or 5 words so far. :)
C2C not on KOGO yet tonight, preempted by Earthquake coverage.
