Kenya's Church leaders have blamed the government for a grenade attack at a rally on Sunday that led to six deaths.
The explosions at a Nairobi prayer meeting campaigning against a draft constitution caused a deadly stampede.
After an emergency security meeting, Prime Minister Raila Odinga confirmed it was a grenade attack and said a top police team was investigating it.
All but a handful of ministers in the shaky coalition government are backing a "Yes" vote to the draft charter.
The rally was organised by Christian groups opposed to a draft constitution because it retains recognition of existing Islamic courts and includes a clause on abortion.
As part of a power-sharing deal to end deadly riots following elections in December 2007, it was agreed that a new constitution would be written.
Christian Church leaders also oppose the continued recognition in the draft document of Islamic family courts.
The Islamic Kadhi courts - set up under British colonial rule - mainly deal with matters of marriage and inheritance for Kenya's Muslim minority.

O's grandfather WAS Mau Mau, and his father possibly was, although he was never arrested.
If you are unfamiliar with it, I suggest you research it, as we have a President who is two, possibly one, generations removed from that savagery.
It's hard to find objective info on it, as it occured in the 50's, toward the end of colonial Africa, when natives were painted in the press as opressed victims, and white settlers as brutal evil white men.
Although a novel, Robert Ruark's "Something of Value" is based on fact, written by a man who loved Kenya and it's people, both white and many blacks. But it ain't for the squeamish.
Ruark also wrote "Uhuru", also about Kenya, but set at a later date during runup to independence and the reversion of some blacks to Mau Mau tactics to intimidate whites into fleeing the country. In other words, a microcosim of every country in post-colonial Africa.

Railla Odinga lost the election for president and then, backed by Obama, he organized riots and church-burnings until the government was forced to admit him as Prime Minister.
He is a Communist-Muslim, like his cousin Barry.
