Beaches turn black in Baldwin County as oily waves roll in

GULF SHORES, Ala. -- Fifteen-year-old Dakota Byrd kicked sand over a puddle of black oil lining Gulf Shores beach.

As far as he could see Saturday afternoon, the white sand at the shoreline had turned black.

"I want to get rid of it," he said. Byrd looked into joining the cleanup effort, but he's too young.

Summer for him and his Gulf Shores buddies, he said, along with many others who enjoy the Alabama coastline, "is done."

Obama can safely write off the Gulf states. He wasn’t going to win any of them anyway. So, he’s free to ignore the spill and the clean-up while using the “crisis” to bash oil companies and halt oil production.

Why should Obama care if Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida vote for his opponents in 2012? He wasn’t going to win those states so why should he lift a finger to help?

True. Obama has been lucky until now. Now it is washing ashore and yielding prime video and photo-ops. Even if the well was plugged tomorrow there is 50 days backlog of more oil and crud rolling to shore whether it is beaches or estuaries or mangrove swamps. And reality is we have at least 60 more days until the relief wells stop the flow (hopefully). So we are only seeing the beginning of 110 days worth of gushing oil reaching the shore

Hopefully 0bama ends up toast because of this and he deserves it for being such a do nothing with a big mouth. Just a low IQ con man like his rap star buddies like JayZee. Another iron pumping mo-ron.
