She made her persona on taking the the Alaska GOP good ole boy establishment. Of late, she’s sold out at the national level. Dance With the One What Brung Ya ... which isn’t the RINO Regime of the GOP.

Mere winning is pointless (and even counterproductive) if youre winning for McCain and his merry band of RINOs But rabs...what other RINOs have Palin endorsed?
All of the candidates that Palin has endorsed are conservative. Carly is not a RINO because she has no prior experience in office.
Mark Kirk is a McCain flunky in IL. Did Palin endorse him?
I agree with you on McCain. But the point is that her supporters understand the endorsement but won't stop them from supporting JD. Like many Palin supporters, I support JD 100% and want to see McCain gone from office.
To: JaguarXKE
Maybe she knows something about JD that you don’t.

I doubt that statement because she was accomplishing so much in Alaska, was conservative, stood her ground against Libs and Pubs when they were wrong. I think she was on her way up with or without McCain. That's why he took her.

Palin already split herself off by endorsing McCain and Fiorina It sure has diminished her star power and places her at the bottom of hypothetical 2012 matchups, right? ROFL

Yea, that's why the following occured:
1. McCain endorsed Crist, Sarah endorsed Rubio
2. McCain endorsed
McMaster, Sarah endorsed Niki Haley
3. Sarah endorsed Clint Didlier who has Tea Party support, Rossi is the establishment candidate.

Is it better for a political party to be pragmatic & achieve power or to remain an ideologically pure movement & criticize from the sidelines? If by pragmatic, you mean turning into a pale imitation of your opposition, then neither alternative is acceptable. You present a false dichotomy; the real task if you have governing principles that will work is to educate people about them, not to give in to their ignorance.

St. Sarah of Wasilla is at her core a politician. Which explains why the GOP establishment loves her, right?

There is one thing about Free Republic...there has never to my knowledge been a consensus on any Conservative candidate.
From watching over the clinton years, the voting public is fraught with "one-issue", or "pet-issue" voters...if the candidate doesn't 100% support their project, they throw them under the bus and keep looking.
If some were all for, say, larger mudflaps on semi's, and only one candidate supported that - even if he was a member in good standing with the communist party - they would vote for him/her.
This is why we have a hard time winning, because the democrats have much more solidarity than we do. There is a lesson there to learn.
Sarah Palin is a polarizing figure, you either like her, or you don't. For someone like me who thinks she would make a great President and have the dems talking to themselves, you won't convince me to change by carrying the "she endorsed mccain" flag...I don't care.
Rest assured, the overwhelming majority of the free world KNOWS she endorsed McCain, but that was weeks ago, and her popularity is still increasing daily. But, there are those who have to mention it anytime they see Palin's name anywhere...like the rest of us somehow magically forgot about it.
They've thrown everything they have at the woman, and she's still roaring. So give it a rest, it ain't working.
