I believe the “canto” is from Cordoba. (It is many years since I was in BA). I have seen it described as “lilting”.
I have no idea how you could hear it, short of going there I guess!
I have been in Córdoba several times and didn’t register any particular difference from the rest of Andalucía. Maybe I wasn’t paying enough attention. Next time I will hang out and try to listen closely to the locals.
