Democrats Have Secret Plan for November
Newsmax ^ | June 13th, 2010

Political analysts are predicting a huge win for Republicans in November's congressional elections, but some Democrats believe they have a secret plan to stave off a crushing Republican landslide.

That’s the analysis from Newsweek magazine’s Andrew Romano, who writes that “the Democrats in charge are actually rather confident about getting their fellow Dems elected this year. The reason? They have a plan — a plan that they believe will produce much better results on Election Day than anyone expects.”

The first element of that plan is the return of Obama’s former campaign manager David Plouffe, who left politics after Obama’s election win. At the president’s request, he is now communicating on a regular basis with the Democratic National Committee on campaign strategy.

Plouffe’s top priority is to get many of the 15 million people who voted for the first time in 2008, and largely supported Obama, back to the polls this year. His main weapon is the 13-million-name e-mail list from the Obama campaign now available to the DNC.

The focus on individual elections for Democrats will be “keep it local,” according to Romano. “While Republicans hammer away at national themes targeted at right-wing activists, Democrats plan to focus on bread-and-butter regional concerns like jobs.”

Democrats also believe that the emergence of tea party challengers in GOP primaries will help their candidates attract moderate voters. A tea party candidate who wins the primary will drive moderates toward the Democrat in the general election, the thinking goes, and a tea partyer who loses will likely have forced the winning Republican to move further to the right and possibly alienate moderate voters.

The Dimocrats will promise jobs because they haven’t produced any real jobs.

The money will not help, it is to late. Dump money into local economies will not produce jobs in time. They can claim to keep teachers at work, extend benefits etc. but they cannot create jobs.

All but a small percentage of voters will decide before August how they will vote. In a NORMAL election cycle, after Labor Day, the battle begins for the undecided independent voters. I do not think this is a normal election cycle, many independents are already engaged and are not waiting until Sep or Oct to decide.

The slush fund is for the rehabilitation of Obama. He does not care about the Dims that will lose this year, he will try to carry them back into power in 2012. They can crunch the unemployment numbers any way they want, 15% or more are unemployed or underemployed. You cannot can put a purple SEIU T-shirt on that pig and get people to vote for you.

Sort of like Hitler’s secret plan to defeat the Russians in 1944.

Me too. How could so many people have been so stupid? I just thought better of this country.

Bravado escapes me...I am scared to death. Glad everyone else seems positive, but I’m still reeling from the impact of Obama being elected in the first place. There are too many devious undercurrents swirling around to feel secure about the survival of our country.

I feel exactly the same way.

How many of the 13 million still have jobs? That may make a difference on how they think of the Kenyan.

....but when the NYS Government collapses this week, no amount of hand wringing or pork pulling will keep the facts from revealing their hideous being.

I hope you're right but it's just like that slimy bunch to pull something out of their butts Monday just for that reason.

Defending a jobless rate that has gone from 4.7 to 9.7 since they took over? With a straight face?

They are telegraphing election fraud...

Well, not exactly telegraphing it. This article only deals with legal campaign methods, in so far as one can see. But, since it is based upon a piece from Newsweek magazine, you can't rule out the possibility that the mention of the tactics supposedly being planned are a cover-up for much more nefarious ones that they will eventually employ. In other words, don't trust the MSM's take on this.
