Philippines: Islamist militants blamed for beheadings
Manila, 12 June (AKI) - Islamist militants from the separatist Abu Sayyaf group have beheaded three civilians in the southern Philippines, the military officials said on Saturday. The three men were gathering wood near Maluso on the island of Basilan on Friday when they were abducted and executed by militants, Brigadier-General Eugene Clemen, a local marine commander, said.
"We received reports this morning the three lumberjacks had been beheaded," Clemen said.
The execution came less than two weeks after the group led Puruji Indama killed three people abducted in the nearby Sumisip town.
Troops had been sent to search for the men's bodies, Clemen said.
A Muslim insurgency in the south of the predominantly Catholic country is one of the problems facing the new government of president-elect Benigno Aquino III when he takes office later this month.
Abu Sayyaf is the smallest and most radical of the Islamic separatist groups in the southern Philippines and has been blamed for bombings, beheadings and kidnappings of Filipinos and foreigners.

Pershing had the right idea - capture a bunch; shoot all but one with bullets dipped in pig manure; bury them upside down, facing away from Mecca. Then you tell the survivor that the same fate awaits those who attack Americans.

This is not a religion, by any stretch of anyone’s imagination. Islam is a CULT, pure and simple. It demands a degree of fealty that accrues to the likes of Manson, Jim Jones, and Hitler. It replaces all personal decision making with rules of the order, interpreted by semi-illiterate ‘clerics’ who profess a view into the mind of their prophet and their god. It defines and prescribes all rules of behavior and interaction. It determines with whom you may commune, and determines the nature of that community.
It punishes transgressions in the most horrible of manners and condones the enslavement and murder of anyone who disagrees.
Islam is NOT a religion. It deserves NONE of the protections reserved to religions.

If you were to use an Occam’s Razor approach to determining whether Islamists were behaving according to the dictates of a “religion” (as understood within the context of Western Civilization) or the dictates of a “totalitarian death cult”, you’d be hard-pressed to come up with evidence in support of “religion” being the motivating factor...
