Then express horror that the Iranians were trying to deliver an Atomic Device to Gaza and screwed it up. And they can’t search for survivors because of the radiation.

You cold simplify it even more. If you just want a coastal defense weapon, how about a super-stealthy robotic submersible? Load it with whatever weapons load is required for the mission and launch it underwater from a coastal base. Feed it continuous GPS updates on the target’s location and let it seek and destroy.
