President Barack Obama said Friday that some members of Congress should share the blame for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.
In an interview with POLITICO, the president said: I think its fair to say, if six months ago, before this spill had happened, I had gone up to Congress and I had said we need to crack down a lot harder on oil companies and we need to spend more money on technology to respond in case of a catastrophic spill, there are folks up there, who will not be named, who would have said this is classic, big-government overregulation and wasteful spending.
The president also implied that anti-big government types such as Tea Party activists were being hypocritical on the issue.
Some of the same folks who have been hollering and saying do something are the same folks who, just two or three months ago, were suggesting that government needs to stop doing so much, Obama said. Some of the same people who are saying the president needs to show leadership and solve this problem are some of the same folks who, just a few months ago, were saying this guy is trying to engineer a takeover of our society through the federal government that is going to restrict our freedoms.

Pathetic.
Don’t try to pin this on us Barry. When you point your finger, there are three fingers pointing back at you. This is YOUR baby. You and your enviroMENTALists loonies.
Obambie is typical of a little spoiled brat.
Like most Leftists he can’t understand the difference between responding to a crisis (an actual government function), and taking over the livelihood of the nation.
Some people are born failures, others achieve failure and some have failure thrust upon them. Obama believes failure is thrust upon him. In other words, Bushs fault, BPs fault, congress fault, GOP’s fault, etc...
Obama didn’t enforce the regulations already on the books. His administration is an epic failure.
He may have spent more days golfing than hours in the gulf. If any CEO in a crisis spent 50 days partying, going to bbqs, golfing (7 times), and having vacations (2 times) they would be fired. The lack of action delayed the sand berms being built and Dutch skimmers removing the spilled oil and highlights his incompetence and how of touch he is with the general public.
Leaders lead.
Those who can’t point fingers.
So what you’re saying is some are born failures and others have to work at it, right? So which kind of failure is Øbozo?
(Hint: Abject failure is also an acceptable answer ;-)
Oh this is rich.
This is funny. The GOP is to blame b/c of the way they would have responded to an event that didn’t happen.
Obama is such a sissy punk. The most powerful man in the world doesn’t have a clue.
Did the GOP give BP a free pass on the environmental impact study? No, that was Obama (after getting large donations from BP).
Was it the GOP who approved the drilling permit in 10 minutes? No, that was Obama (after getting large donations from BP).
Was it the GOP that gave Deepwater Horizon a safety award? No, the Bush administration cited them 6 times for violations. Obama gave them a safety award (after getting large donations from BP).
Contrast this with Katrina. Bush was hampered by an incompetent Gov who refused to ask for the National guard to be sent in, and was too busy napping to coordinate with President Bush. The incompetent mayor of NO refused to evacuate the city.
In the Gulf, we have an administration that had to be dragged to the Gulf between parties and vacations. They wouldn’t sit down with the CEO of BP until Sarah Palin told him to do so from Facebook (Palin is now advising the WH via Facebook, apparently). People are lining to help with the spill with booms, containment apparatus, tankers to suck the oil up, and the administration refuses them and are so incompetent that many of the offers just sit there idly. Thad Allen hasn’t been made aware of people screaming to deliver much needed booms.
This is an absolute disgrace. I don’t even blame Obama as much as I do the idiots who elected him. If you weren’t brainwashed by the media, you saw this one coming from a mile away.
I actually feel sorry for his daughters. If this kind of mindset is the same used in his parenting, those girls are being abused.
