He might..., but that confession would have to be verified with some evidence. Unless he provided the evidence that authorities could find and examine, along with his confession... I don't think he'll be leaving Peru until his time is served.
The US authorities have "been in the business" of dealing with crooks and confessions and evidence for quite a long time now. I'm sure they know how to handle themselves.
