Obama was also asked why hed not had a conversation with Hayward.
I have not spoken to him directly, and heres the reason: because my experience is when you talk to a guy like BP's CEO, he's going to say all the right things to me. I'm not interested in words. I'm interested in actions, Obama told NBC. We are communicating to him every single day exactly what we expect of him.
Allen stresses in the letter that the oil giant is responsible for all costs associated with the response to the spill
as well as support long term recovery efforts to ensure that all individuals and communities impacted by the spill are made whole......
....
In a Facebook post Tuesday, former Republican Vice Presidential Candidate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin scoffed at the presidents explanation on NBC and mocked the press for taking so long to press the president on the issue.
In all the discussions youve had with the White House about the spill, did it not occur to you before today to ask how the CEO-to-CEO level discussions were progressing to remedy this tragedy? You never cease to amaze, Palin wrote. This revelation is further proof that it bodes well to have some sort of executive experience before occupying the Oval Office.

yet the marxist will always say its the leader not the idea that is the failure. As marxism fails across the world yet again the leftists will come to blame Obama like they blamed Stalin, and Mao and pol pot. They will just say that Obama was not the one. but the ideas are sound.
they just do not see.

Wow talk about spin machine overdrive. If BP is just going to tell him what he wants to hear then why talk to them now? What is the point if what Barry says is true. Talk about using misdirection for not following up from day one. I love how he demonizes BP by calling them lairs before he has even talked to them.(Basically Barry is saying to the Sheeple: Hey watch my right hand and forget about the left hand) BP evil. BO’s “Crime Inc.” still rolling alone at full steam down the tracks.

You're right. When it comes to socialism's 100% failure rate as a means of governance... The liberals/socialists/communists etc. of every stripe refuse to learn from history. It just doesn't work, period. The inability to learn from other people's mistakes is generally considered a sign of low intelligence...
Of course, the socialists will claim that the only reason socialism fails 100% of the time is that the right people/elitists haven't been in charge - namely, them.

and since Reagan and thatcher the GOP has not called them on it. that is until Palin came on the stage.
Now it is time to educate the American people once again on the evil of Marxism and how it always fails. Palin is doing a good job on that front as we speak.

I think Obama and his thugs are starting to understand somethings just can not be spun. sure they will still try but something like this and then having beer pong parties in the WH and supersoaker water fights just will not be able to be spun.
Palin was smart to attack on this front. They have no defense and their quick about face shows that. Obama retreated in the face of Palin power. the typical beta-male that he is. Allahpundit would be so proud of Obama tonight.

Good on Sarah!! My advice to any large company or industry would be to take a few billion and finance private investigations to uncover and expose the lying poser in the white house! Defend yourselves for crying out loud!

.. thirteen entities had offered the U.S. oil spill
assistance within about two weeks of the Horizon rig explosion. They were the
governments of Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, the Netherlands,
Norway, Romania, Republic of Korea, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the
United Nations.
The U.S. response - Thank you, but no thank you, we've got it.
..While there is no need right now that the U.S. cannot meet, the U.S. Coast Guard is
assessing these offers of assistance to see if there will be something which we will need
in the near future.
Actually - it was at least 17 countries ignored by Pres_ _ent Obama.

they wanted to pass healthcare to cement their rule for 40 years, by passing it they stand a great chance of losing both houses of congress Yup.
And, if GOPers are smart, during any debates they might have with Dems, they can ask, quite simply..."have you read the entire health care [confiscation] bill?"
If running v an incumbent, "how much of the healthcare bill did you read before you voted for it?" and "why do you think that it's appropriate for a person in the Congress to rush a vote on an impossibly large bill before you read it, and before your constituents read it and can speak directly to you in a public town hall forum?"
For most voters, opinion gets visceral at this point.

just one of his missteps in the oilspill. admins in the future will study the Obama response for decades to learn what not to do in a crisis.

I agree the GOpers must run on the creepy way DC works. How it is failing the people and what they will do to fix it. I suggest an amendment to make sure no law is bigger that 20 pages on 2 sides with 12 pt font. Any bigger and its a waste of time and able to insert pork and pet projects
