The Senate has rejected a bid to stop the Obama administration from imposing regulations on greenhouse gases, giving a boost to President Barack Obama as he pursues broader clean energy legislation.

Senators turned back a resolution that would have rescinded the authority of the Environmental Protection Agency to regulate greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act.

Supporters of the measure, mostly Republicans, argued that the EPA had usurped the authority of Congress to set climate policy and that the EPA regulations would increase energy costs and kill jobs.

Bummer.

Maybe there is one silver lining- Obama owns this now, and the failed recovery that results will be his problem.

“Bayh, Landrieu, Lincoln, Nelson, Pryor, Rockefeller”

All but Bayh worried about their re-election and Bayh most likely worried about his Presidential run in 2012.

Maybe I missed something but I didn’t spot one Republican on the list that voted against it. Certainly looks like it was mostly Democrat — it was all Democrat!

Next step is a suit to challenge the right of the EPA to regulate this under the existing statute.

He has no conscience or soul and seems to care less about the results of his actions. He's a tool of the Soro's machine and operates guilt-free, with no concern about his legacy.

I am sure by now he’s already has plans for a retirement home/library in Kenya after he leaves office.

Those who voted for it should have to defend it.

No recovery for sure now.

Well, who needs an economy anyway? We can do just fine by lining up at the government soup kitchens and getting our handouts.
