On Tuesday, California voters determined who will face off in November for key state offices, and San Francisco names had a big day.
Governor:
In one corner, we have Republican nominee and Atherton resident Meg Whitman, who has (so far!) spent $71 million of her own money to convince us shes a fiscal conservative. During her Tuesday speech accepting the Republican nomination, Whitman declared herself the nightmare of politicians in Sacramento. I dont disagree. I feel most sorry for the ones who will have to explain to her the rules governing the state Legislature, including the structural barriers that prevent real reform regardless of who is in charge. Awkward!
In the other corner, we have San Francisco native Jerry Brown acting like someones peepaw in running shorts clutching a new vegetable juicer, vowing to live forever and singing, You Aint Seen Nothin Yet! (Seriously, Brown played that song at his victory speech last night.) Its as if Brown wants us to believe that during his four decades in office, he was restraining the beast that is his political genius because he wanted to wait until this moment to show us. I know I aint seen nothin yet, baby, baby, baby."

And yet this lib probably wants EVEN MORE government. Irony is totally lost on idiot liberals
Definitely Not Guilty!

yeah, that' the ticket, plenty of practice, what can go wrong?
“Vote Jerry Brown for Governor! I promise not to screw things up as badly this time around.”
She is VERY pop culture literate, very funny, very accurate on law and rules, and research.
Liberal? Probably, but she's young yet, and too smart to be fooled even now, she almost NEVER endorses a candidate, and writes for the EX, a real plus.
Her is her website, decide for yourself:
Governors must be spartan, you know, except when spending other people's money and raising their taxes.
Ah, but Whitman is such a rino, what to do, what to do...
I may just have to hold my nose and vote for Whitman this time around. I don’t have much hope for her, but Brown would be much, much worse.
In order to do so, the voters must be convinced of the culpability of the houses, which means bucking the state controlled media, the unions, and environmentalists 24/7, exposing all their shenanigans, bribes, and outright power grabs disguised as well meaning contractual agreements with state employees.
The Governor who does this, needs to not be afraid of one term, in order to ensure a second.
For some reason, I don’t believe the voters were involved.
No, but they WERE ignorant.
