The NEA has taken out more people than the USMC has.

Good luck Murine.

I feel for him. But if MA is a “closed shop” state, I think it’s either pay or don’t play.

500.00...is that a yearly fee? If unions are charging that much, no wonder they have so much money to buy politicians.

Hang in there Marine...and do NOT pay. Take it to court if you must...but the should not have any Constitutional legal right to force you to pay.

The teachers' unions are as corrupt as any. They're also filled with some of the most gullible people on the planet. Apparently, there's at least one who gets it.

Looks to me like the Teachers Union is in violation of Section 8(b)(1)(A) Restraint and Coercion of Employees and possibly Section 8(b)(2)Causing or Attempting to Cause Discrimination, Section 8(b)(5)Excessive or Discriminatory Membership Fees of the NLRA.

I would love to see the contract that he signed. If it states pay the 500 dollars than he is SOL. Read the fine print Marine.

I guarantee that the teacher's union is covered in getting this money. I bet you a million bucks that he signed a contract that even discusses paying the 500 dollars.

In NJ it is $730. And if you don’t join the Union then to play at being a teacher you still have to pay $584 to the Union.
