The fight is over and we have lost.
An openly gay military will be protecting us against some of the most dangerous enemies we have ever been threatened by.
To say the end of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) comes at a terrible time is a genuine understatement. Pushed by a Democrat president controlling a Democrat Congress, the predictable end of DADT is all but here.
Homosexuality a lifestyle considered incompatible with the demands of military efficiency will be forcibly added to the problems field commanders already face.
This is a triumph of political correctness over the reality of keeping the nation safe. Blame for the increased danger this new policy will put us in goes to those who voted for Obama and threw out dozens of good House conservatives.
What this will mean
Among the serious problems that will ensue from this new policy are: damage to unit cohesiveness and use of the military as a tool for legitimizing a life style found repugnant for religious and cultural reasons by many of the same families who have sent their young men and women to the military for generations.
A February survey by jobboom.com found 83% trust the military, but just 22% trust the politicians who voted away the stability our war fighters need to complete their mission of protecting us. This change will pervert the reputation of the military as a social institution looked up to by more than 8 in 10 Americans.
Forty percent of both our nation and our military identify as Evangelical Christians. Putting the good order of services in disarray to satisfy the estimated 2% of the military who are homosexuals makes no sense at all.

I do not see any reason as to why the fight against this should have to end. If they can pass legislation to end DADT then why cannot legislation be passed to reinstate DADT once conservatives retake power?
Also why shouldn’t there be a class action lawsuit challenging this policy of forcing men and woman in the military to have to bunk, shower, etc… with people who are openly expressing a perversion for their same gender. If homosexuality is supposed to be treated equally to heterosexuality as democrats and the pervert Paulbots want it to be then why are men and woman segregated based upon a discrimination against heterosexual behavior but the same does not hold true for separating out the homosexual perverts in the same type of facilities?

I think this is ridiculous and only serves the gay activist-types in the military. I’ve known gays in the military, and they generally DON’T want to advertise their lifestyle. They just want to do the job they signed up for like everybody else and be left alone.

When R's take back Congress (which I fervently hope happens) they can defund crap like this, and when 0thugga is proven ineligible and escorted from the WH, everything he signed should be made null and void. Usurpers cannot legally sign any laws, only actual presidents.
And the point about repealing DADT and going back to "asking, and if the answer is wrong, out the door" is exacty right. DADT is merely a compromise. Needs to go back to the original. No homosexuals at all, in the closet or out of the closet.
The most dangerous enemies we are threatened by are from within...and now the deadly sodomite lobby will wield great influence in our military. A truly horrible thought!

I don’t buy it. Everyone I know currently serving does not want Obama’s idiotic plan of open homosexuality in the ranks. This is not going to fly believe me.
I agree. Author is waving the white flag unnecessarily and prematurely. The best way to lose a fight or a war is to give up and let the other side win.
