capitalism is rationing of resources by the use of Money. you need to study economics, history and political theory. while there are always exceptions to the rule those with the most money are most likely those most productive in society or what the present society considers to be the most valuable.
that is the underlying theory of capitalism and why it works the best of all economic systems. the most productive gets the most resources. you may not think Carly was the most productive but the capitalistic system sure did.
capitalism is not moral code this is also why crony-capitalism is such a threat to our society. It bypasses this basic rule of capitalism and allows those not most productive to gain those resources. It destroys the productivity of the system and causes stagnation and decline in society. Now Carly rose in the ranks of HP and made the CEO position, she translated that power and hard work into a contract which gave her $20million if she was let go. I see no problem with that.
