We did the Jerry Brown thing already, though, and the results were not good. Unfortunately, most of us who lived through those days are long gone from the state.
Well Arnold proved that a Republican can still win major office in California. It will be pretty hard to paint Meg Whitman as a conservative ideologue. That’s something conservatives dislike but it bodes improved chances for her election in November.
Honestly though, and I take no glee in saying this, I believe California is a lost cause and is fiscally doomed.
