EDITORIAL: Angry Man Obama--Presidential makeover changes the Vulcan into a Klingon
The Washington Times ^ | June 8, 2010 | Editorial

HBO's Bill Maher recently voiced his disappointment in President Obama's handling of the Deepwater Horizon oil-rig disaster. "This is where I want a real black president," the not-so-funny comic said. "I want him in a meeting with the BP CEOs, you know, where he lifts up his shirt where you can see the gun in his pants." Filmmaker Spike Lee also voiced his frustration with our unflappable president last week when he said, "If there's any one time to go off, this is it, because this is a disaster."

It looks like those who want an angry-man president may get their wish. Giving details about his handling of the crisis, Mr. Obama said that he met with Gulf Coast fishermen to get the views of the people most affected by the disaster so he knows "whose ass to kick."

There always has been a bullying undercurrent in the Obama administration, marked by the oft-mentioned cliche of "the Chicago style," which is usually illustrated by some antic by Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Whether Rahm's reputation for strong-arming will be damaged by revelations of juvenile water-gun fights in the White House remains to be seen. The president, however, has never come across as the emotional type. Mr. Obama has cultivated cool detachment, a calm and knowing, almost preachy air of confidence. He was seen as logical and unflappable; his avatar was the Vulcan.

According to Maher, all the "real" ones do.

The man is a freaking sociopath: No empathy for anyone. His true colors came out with the "kick some ass" statement.

He has to play cool because all he knows is the hatred for America that has been fomenting in his core from the day he was on his mama's knee. This is always lurking below the surface.

One of these days, he is going to have his Helen Thomas moment. When that happens, I'm getting out the GIANT bag of popcorn.

He doesn’t do tough guy well.

I believe he adopted the pose as the shouts about his associations with BP got louder and louder.

Happened before, like with the Health bill when exposed to his pharma and insurance ties he started bashing them.

...and we used to think that Bill Clinton stuck his finger in the air to test which way the wind was blowing!

Spike Lee to Obama: CUT! Let's try it again, and this time, try acting as if you mean it.

Which one does she more remind you of - Lursa or B'Etor?

Maher simply demonstrates the astounding depth of racist beliefs amongst liberals.

No sense offending Klingons in this manner. If you want to compare her to some creature from Trek, try this:

The Salt Vampire. Sucks the salt right out of you. Which is appropriate, since the left want to confiscate all of our salaries (from the Latin meaning "salt").

Woo-hoo! Another Jimmy Carter moment!

Who remembers when Carter was called a wimp repeatedly and his handlers decided he had to change his image, so he was told to use more forceful gestures and speak with a more stern tone in his voice.

It was so lame, so forced. He just couldn’t pull off tough, angry, mad, etc. All he could do was be a whiny victim.

Next JC moment I’m looking for: BO to blame the country’s troubles on the American people and their lack of willingness to follow his outstanding leadership.
