It ain’t worth arguing with the deluded. My own opinion is that Palin is not very electable, but I strongly admire her, and as an outsider harassing the left she has at least 5x the value she would have as, say, VP. The way she makes liberal heads explode is just a thing of perpetual beauty

Agree completely. I would love for her to be president but I don't see it happening. The left did a masterful job of demonizing her to the majority of the stupid public.

The howls of disapproval amongst the ocean of politically clueless suggests the media and SNL have destroyed her chances. SNL, that bastion of Liberal intellectualism...

Apparently you two weren't around when Reagan got elected, either time.

The media ALSO did a masterful job of demonising him and he won convincingly twice, and then there is the hatchet job they did on GWB.

Seems our memories are short around here.

It goes without saying that included in the "left" that did a masterful job demonizing SP to the majority of the stupid public was the media.

Their job was made easier by the fact that the stupid public was stupid enough to vote for Obama.

I would love to be as wrong as is humanly possible over Palin’s electability. Few things would make me happier than having her elected. I think she would be great, without any reservation whatsoever.

I will absolutely acknowledge the comparison and parallels between Palin’s poll stats and the “surprise” “unexpected” “miracle” of Reagan’s election.

At the time, I was not very political at all. I was keenly aware that the nation was in the serious doldrums with Carter in office. I expected him to be thrown out, but I didn’t particularly see RR as a savior; IOW, I thought that where the nation was, was simply in the nature of a grand economic cycle. I feel that x 1000 now, plus the degree of intentional looting, corruption, and sanctioned lawbreaking we’ve gone through in the past 5 or so years (actually..10 years) is just unprecedented, and literally nothing about it has been repaired. Indeed, the US has become a kakistocracy. (look it up)

My view on Palin’s electability is based not at all upon her as a candidate, and not all that much on the media’s relentless, rabid assault on her. It is based upon knowing that never before in the history of the US has there been such a multi-cultural, rabidly anti-American addicted-to-handout crowd of such blithering morons as we have now. It’s a wide open question to me whether that can be overcome, and given that worsening times are IMO likely to strengthen their numbers, I’m rather pessimistic as to our odds.

This is exactly the attitude and mind set the libs want Americans to parrot.

Not me! I say, bring on President Palin!
