I would love to be as wrong as is humanly possible over Palin’s electability. Few things would make me happier than having her elected. I think she would be great, without any reservation whatsoever.

I will absolutely acknowledge the comparison and parallels between Palin’s poll stats and the “surprise” “unexpected” “miracle” of Reagan’s election.

At the time, I was not very political at all. I was keenly aware that the nation was in the serious doldrums with Carter in office. I expected him to be thrown out, but I didn’t particularly see RR as a savior; IOW, I thought that where the nation was, was simply in the nature of a grand economic cycle. I feel that x 1000 now, plus the degree of intentional looting, corruption, and sanctioned lawbreaking we’ve gone through in the past 5 or so years (actually..10 years) is just unprecedented, and literally nothing about it has been repaired. Indeed, the US has become a kakistocracy. (look it up)

My view on Palin’s electability is based not at all upon her as a candidate, and not all that much on the media’s relentless, rabid assault on her. It is based upon knowing that never before in the history of the US has there been such a multi-cultural, rabidly anti-American addicted-to-handout crowd of such blithering morons as we have now. It’s a wide open question to me whether that can be overcome, and given that worsening times are IMO likely to strengthen their numbers, I’m rather pessimistic as to our odds.

We'll get some answers to this question in November. If the indications are that America is willing to change directions away from the cliff and wants an unabashedly pro-America leader that believes in the values of work and individual liberty and responsibility, Sarah Palin will run for president.

WE are going to answer this question for her...she's made that very clear. That's a refreshing change from the ego-driven politicians we're used to.

Agree with everything you said. And I hope we are both wrong.
