Joran van der Sloot, the prime suspect in the 2005 disappearance of American teen Natalee Holloway, reportedly confessed to murdering Stephany Flores in Peru after she grabbed his laptop and learned about his connection to Holloways disappearance.
I did not want to do it. The girl intruded into my private life," van der Sloot told Peruvian authorities, according to La Republica newspaper.
He said he became enraged after Flores snatched his computer, snapping her neck and striking her, the paper said.
"She had no right," he reportedly griped to investigators. "She was scared, we argued, she tried to escape and I grabbed her by the neck and hit her."
The Dutch playboy was charged last week in the brutal slaying of Flores, 21 -- who was murdered five years to the day after Holloway, 18, vanished while on a class trip to Aruba.
Fox News, citing Peruvian media, reported that van der Sloot spilled the beans in order to get a reduced jail sentence.

I guess they waterboarded him. Wonderful.
Maybe I'm mistaken but if not something is fishy.

He didn’t know there were so many security cameras in the hotel. That’s where he slipped up...plain and simple.

Sounds to me like the only reduced sentence he will survive is no sentence.
Good. After he gets done doing 20 years in Peru, they can send him to Alabama, and he can do another ten years there for extortion. If this guy doesn’t see the light of day until his late 50s, that’s as good as we’re gonnna do.
This guy is one of the many reasons women especially should be able to carry a concealed DA revolver.
Later reports denied those “preliminary” reports. There was only a small amount of blood — coming out of her ear and her nose from blunt force trauma. She died of a broken neck.

well, yes, and the minor detail of leaving her bloody corpse in the room he was registered
The laptop story is a farce. His intention was to kill her all along. He get’s off on the fear of his victims. I doubt she ever touched his laptop.
This guy is a psychopathic killer, who needs to feel the fear he placed in his victims and then be executed.
Agreed, what are the odds, that he would kill this woman on the anniversary of Holloways death?
I’m with YOU on that question. This guy is just enough of an egomaniac to have taken some cellphone pics of the Natalee Holloway “scene” (for lack of a better term) and saved them.
I don’t think anyone has to worry about this boy lasting 20 years in a Peruvian prison, however.
He’ll be gone by Christmas, if not sooner.
“He didnt know there were so many security cameras in the hotel. Thats where he slipped up...plain and simple.”
No upstatenyrepublican, he “slipped up” when he murdered that girl.
Agree.
When he realized he was toast - he claims *self defense*.
He lured her to his room under some pretense but he intended to kill her and did.
Predator psychopathic killer - it’s not about romancing a woman for normal sex - it’s about the lust to control & kill.
There will be more victims discovered after they have traced his travels over several continents and multiple passports.
Agreed.
But I imagine he was trying to frame them.
On a personal note here....as the mother of an only child, a son, how is it possible of doing a more rotten job of raising a kid than his mother did? I mean, seriously. My son is about the same age as this turkey and he’d never hurt a fly. It was hard enough to get him to help me set a mouse trap in the winter to catch a field mouse trying to cop a little heat.
You have to be a world class maternal dunce for this to be your entire contribution to the world, once you’re dead and gone.
As if anything coming from this killer can be believed.
We’ll see if Peru does the right thing and locks him up for the maximum time allowed by their laws....or Aruba has a long reach.
