Black leaders leaving Dallas schools along with students
here is my question
hinojoso the superintendent said of course they must focus on Hispanic students who need extra help since there are so many of them
How is that not profiling?
Don’t you understand...there is “good” racism and “bad” racism...
This would be hate speech if spoken by a white person.
The fact is, most black people and brown people don't like high crime and high taxes, either. Black flight and brown flight just isn't easy to talk about because it forces folks to look at the city leadership rather than the scapegoat.
Boy, does that headline need a re-write.
This is gonna get weird....
WE all know that “diversity” means “fewer white people and less traditional American culture”,
so...
what are they going to do when the conflict becomes brown vs black?
you mean the “makeup” part?
Reminiscent of “black face” acts, I suppose.

No, the story is about hispanics being 68% of the Dallas school population. Not that Blacks are leaving.
Hinojosa wasn’t profiling, just stating reality.
Schools are rated by the state according to student performance on annual achievement tests. The stats give a snapshot of how effective the school is.
Those stats break down performance by ethnic groups.
It’s so specific that one school near us was put under state mandate to bring up math scores for 8th grade black males.
Other demographic groups may have low scores in other subject areas. For example, I would expect children who are bi-lingual to test lower in reading.
There are tremendous burdens placed on the schools to teach every demographic to be proficient in all major subject areas.
This is NOT a bad thing, but it is a HARD thing, particularly in districts where parents are not involved in the schools and who do not expect high performance from their kids. One problem within the hispanic culture is that, traditionally, many kids drop out as soon as it is legally permissible and go to work to help support the family.
Not stating opinions here, just observations from the inside. What I am saying is true.
Oh, I’m sure that they and their immediate ancestors came to this country through the legal immigration process...
/snark
The conflict in Dallas ISD has been black vs. brown for a long time. Anybody else here remember the times when they couldn’t even have school board meetings because of armed men and threats of violence? Wasn’t that long ago.
They should stop calling this “white flight” or “black flight” or whatever. It’s the flight of the middle class, that is all.
There was just an article on FR about the “black flight” from Detroit, too. Same thing. It’s the flight of the middle class, people with enough money and sense to realize when there’s nothing left to accomplish by staying and everything to gain by moving on and moving up.
Everyone here might find this interesting and pertinent. Just gives the DISD hispanic/black issue some context:

Districts are losing students due to ABORTIONS too.
Long term: major cities are completely controlled by liberals and become cancers that spread their problems out to the suburbs.
There's no escape. If we can't convince the majority of people that liberalism is bankrupt, then we will all suffer.
how is stating a reality about the fact that DISD now has many if not most Hispanic students who need to learn English different from saying many if not most of the illegals in Az ( well and entire USA) are Hispanic.
So of course it is stating a reality that to identify students who need to learn English you look to Hispanics and to identify illegals you do the same?
so who is taking the spots in failing public schools that these black kids are fleeing? Hispanics, I assume?
Sounds like trouble is a’ brewin’ between the Democrat Party’s two favorite victim constituency groups.
