Second of two parts
Black leaders leaving Dallas schools along with students

here is my question
hinojoso the superintendent said of course they must focus on Hispanic students who need extra help since there are so many of them
How is that not profiling?

"I don't want my grandkid in that environment where the teachers don't teach and the kids wear saggy pants," King said. "You don't see that at the charter school." This would be hate speech if spoken by a white person.

I live near a city that wants to blame the whites for people leaving the are. But most of my neighbors are black and hispanic.
The fact is, most black people and brown people don't like high crime and high taxes, either. Black flight and brown flight just isn't easy to talk about because it forces folks to look at the city leadership rather than the scapegoat.

Boy, does that headline need a re-write.

They should stop calling this “white flight” or “black flight” or whatever. It’s the flight of the middle class, that is all.
There was just an article on FR about the “black flight” from Detroit, too. Same thing. It’s the flight of the middle class, people with enough money and sense to realize when there’s nothing left to accomplish by staying and everything to gain by moving on and moving up.

Short term: good conservatives leave the inner cities for the suburbs to avoid the crime, high taxes, gangs, etc.
Long term: major cities are completely controlled by liberals and become cancers that spread their problems out to the suburbs.
There's no escape. If we can't convince the majority of people that liberalism is bankrupt, then we will all suffer.

so who is taking the spots in failing public schools that these black kids are fleeing? Hispanics, I assume?
Sounds like trouble is a’ brewin’ between the Democrat Party’s two favorite victim constituency groups.

Many black parents are concerned about the attention and money spent bringing native Spanish-speakers up to speed. Some say their children are ignored. "Nothing is geared towards us; it's all geared towards the Hispanics," said Shirley Daniels, spokeswoman for the Black Coalition to Maximize Education, a civil rights group and plaintiff in DISD's federal desegregation case, which lasted from 1970 to 2003. Well, my dear little Democrat, that's what you get when your rival victims out-victim you.
