As we predicted the Helen Thomas story has blown up over the weekend. Thomas did not show up for the White House briefing this morning, and word has it the WHCA is discussing the matter. It is a sad turn of affairs for a reporter who had, until now, such a long, illustrious, and pioneering career (our own Tommy Christopher notes “seats at #whbrief are assigned, but if someone doesn’t show, they’re fair game. Except Helen’s seat”). And it may get worse.
Rabbi David Nesenoff, whose interview with Thomas at the White House Jewish Heritage Day resulted in her now infamous remarks about Jews “getting the hell out of Palestine” and going “home” to Germany, or Poland, appeared on Fox & Friends this morning. Nesenoff noted that he was just as surprised as anyone else at Thomas’ comments and that he had intended the interview to be “light”: “I was dumbfounded and hurt by it.”
Nesenoff also revealed that “there was more to the video” and that “part two is coming out in the next day or so.”

NO EXCUSE. There are many 90 and over seniors that are nice, good people. We knew one who turned 100 years old and was working on 101 but didn’t quite make it. To her last day she was gental, kind, loving (and could have been bitter, angry and mad but never was) and she was a lady all the way. So, don’t tell me about aging people. There are lots out there who didn’t have the mobility nor the money or profession that this horrible woman had. Therefore, she thought she was better than you and me and many others. Sorry, there’s no excuse and she was NOT better than me or any seniors I know. She knew how to cash her check, go shopping, get to the press room and ask her nasty, ugly, disrespectful questions. So, she KNEW what she was doing all the way, every day. She said what she said and meant what she said and now she pays the piper. We’re all glad out here and don’t put the many good, kind, loving seniors in her category!!!
I’m not saying she has an excuse..She should of been retired MOON’s AGO!
I am just saying many OLDER FOLKS start to develop Dimentia and senelity... I have friend’s who’s parents are becoming Abusive to them (Verbally) due to the on-set of Alzheimers and Dementia....People of her age 90! should never been able to be in the Political Spotlight!
I am sure Helen Thomas has Dementia.....
It’s always been transparently obvious that the white House Press Corps pushes its own global agenda.
Helen “the troll” Thomas simply got filmed admitting a small part of that agenda...that being the end of Israel altogether (”get out of Palestine” means “No Israel”).
But Helen being gone won’t change their agenda. It will, however, make them attempt to be less obvious about it.

On a happy note, I was at an AIPAC dinner last night. When Barney Frank got up to speak HE WAS BOOED!! When Obama’s name was mentioned (1.5 hours into event) there was hissing. This is change I can believe in!
Well yes....Liberals especially the ones that are Elderly and the Young Hollywood Elite should be out of the *Political Scene*!

I agree. She KNOWS what she is saying and she has always skirted the opinion before. Maybe this celebration at the WH for the Jews was just too much for her hateful mind. Just by chance she was caught on tape. She should have left years ago. She is a disgrace to journalism.
That doesn't sound so believable. The general direction of Helen Thomas's sentiments regarding the Palestinian cause were already well known.

Exactly. Also, we watched the video of the person who took it and he was interviewed on TV this morning with Steve Doucey and Brian Kilmeade. The person being interviewed said there was more VISUAL video coming in the next day or two. So, keep your eye out for that.

The rabbi probably thought, like most people, that Thomas was Jewish instead of Lebanese.
And, I really do have a very dim view of people who lump a group of people together and judge them based on the actions of a few. However, there IS such a thing as realizing someone is a flawed after they have made a great display of being flawed, and that is all too often confused with "racism".
The rap against Obama is not based on his skin color--it's the content of his character. And that is not PRE-judice; it's POST-judice!
