I am a huge Pixies fan, politics aside, and have seen them numerous times including last November and the venue was sold out. Smaller venue, ~4k capacity.

Of course, they are a local band so they probably draw better in Boston.

I am a huge fan too and have been since the early 80s. I have enjoyed Frank Black's music as well through his various incarnations. The Pixies are technically a local Boston band but have a worldwide following, and I can attest that they are capable of drawing that size crowd probably anywhere in the world. They certainly can in Chicago.

Without knowing why they are withdrawing in this case, I would say that it seems unlikely that if they are truly anti-semetic that they would have scheduled the concert in the first place.
