Elton John Performs for Rush Limbaugh Wedding
Live Street Journal ^ | 06/06/2010

I can’t stop asking myself how did Elton John, gay pop icon, ended up performing at at Rush Limbaugh’s wedding.

Anyway, the act took place in Palm Florida on Saturday night. The guests included celebrities such as Fred Thompson, Sean Hannity, Bush adviser Karl Rove, golfer Tom Watson and Rudolph Giuliani. Did i forget to mention it was a 400 guests wedding?

Limbaugh and Rogers met six years ago at a charity golf tournament. There is a 20 years difference between the two but that doesn’t seem to be a problem for them. Kathryn Rogers said she is “sometimes not able to relate to the average person my age.”

I’m guessing Elton John couldn’t help it and went for the million bucks. That is the reported $1 million payday for Elton John. But still , having a gay guy performing at your wedding is a bit ..awkward.

There are homosexuals who don’t push their agendas on our faces (they just want to be left alone living their private lives) and there are those who do (FORCING people to celebrate their lifestyle). Rush DIFFERENTIATES between these two kinds of homosexuals.

Um, Elton John is an in-your-face homosexual, one that advances it blaspheming Jesus Christ.

She does favor John Adams - the good looking part.

Would anyone here be pissed if Tammy Bruce had attended his wedding?

She is actually conservative rather than someone that oogled "Boy Scouts" and claim Jesus Christ was a homosexual.

Would be funny to find out that the Tiny Dancer is a closet Conservative. :)

How many conservatives do you know that go around claiming Jesus Christ was gay?

I got married in a VFW hall and paid a DJ $350.

You had a hall and a DJ? When I got married in 1970 we had the reception in my brides aunt's house. And BTW, I never had such a great time in my life! It was wonderful and I would not trade it for all the grand ballrooms in the Breakers or anywhere else. The music was supplied by a hi-fi record player and was just great.

This is the one and only thing I can condemn about Rush.

Paying a million dollars to a mentally ill Sodomite just makes me go "EWwww" with every fiber of my being.

My gawd, he could have paid $1M to Toby Keith who would have sung better, for free, and donated the cash to Wounded Warriors or something similar.

As for who performed at their wedding...that is THEIR business.

It is but says a lot about Rush's priorities, character and spiritual state. In his personal life, he isn't that much different than a Hollywood liberal.

I don't always agree with Sean Hannity but does anyone think Sean would higher someone like John to perform at his daughter's wedding and throw away a million bucks to do it? At least Sean lives the lifestyle he endorses. Now, if he would just stop supporting RINOs.

We should look in the mirror and deal with the sinner there first.

What a stupid, liberal cliche. The law applies to unbelievers and is the tutor (Galatians 3:24) that brings the unbeliever to Christ. Condemning and stigmatizing sinful behavior, especially sexually perverted behavior, is the key to a society's survival.

And, since you're a Christian, tell me if you would hire someone that has referred to Jesus Christ as gay for anything. What sound Christian wants anything to do with someone that smeared his or her religion as Elton John has?

Rush Limbaugh can look past one’s personal sins and accept the person

If someone is a Christian, as Rush claims to be, why would he want anything do with someone that has smeared Christianity in the most vile way possible as John has done?

That is sort like saying Jews ought to accept Helen Thomas and one ought to hire her to do work for his or her company.

“Very attractive, very classy looking lady. Hope it works out for them ...”

With Rush’s matrimonial track record, it’s the triumph of hope over experience.

“Carville makes his liberal point-of-view illegitimate by sucking up to Rush by going to his wedding.”

Carville was probably just doing what most smart husbands do - going along with what the wife wants.

Elton John did two things (more than that, really, but two whoppers) that make me wonder why any conservative would give him a dime.

First, about ten years ago he did a stage show in which teenage boys dressed as Cub Scouts stripped to his music. Sick. Second, a few years ago he gave an interview in which he said he wanted to "ban religion completely." Why, why would any conservative, Rush included, give their money to this man? Not everything's about having a good old time, is it?

Seems to me the overall objection to Elton is simply because he’s gay.

And Liberace was as gueer as a a 3 dollar bill and I used to love his performances. He was a true entertainer! I would have hired him to play at my wedding if I could have afforded it at the time. To him being able to dress up in those glittery suits was just a bonus I guess. :-)

It wasn’t Rush’s daughter’s wedding.
It was Rush’s wedding and maybe his wife Kathryn wanted Elton John to perform.
If so...Rush would not insist that Kathryn bend to only HIS way of thinking. He may not like it but..he would be man enough and gentleman enough to agree. It IS after all his wife’s wedding too.
Besides...to me... it is THEIR wedding I am celebrating. Not that of any performer.

I know what Elton did. He isn't any different than any other entertainer pushing buttons to get attention. His career is at its end so he does and says things to get any amount of attention. He isn't any different than Madonna, Eminem, etc.

Go re-read some of the posts on this thread to see that a lot of it is just anti-gay, period.

Post 133 is the most common sense post on this thread.

No, it's part of John's sick agenda to try and pass Jesus off as a homosexual. That is every bit as offensive as what Helen Thomas said about Jews. I'm sick of anti-Christian bigotry being ignored and conservatives like Limbaugh associating with creeps that make such attacks.

Understand, schmuderstand. He’s loaded, loves her and he can give her what she wants.

Besides if another poster’s speculation is that she is pregnant is correct it won’t be the first time that a quick marriage has happened.
