I can’t stop asking myself how did Elton John,gay pop icon, ended up performing at at Rush Limbaugh’s wedding.
Anyway, the act took place in Palm Florida on Saturday night.The guests included celebrities such as Fred Thompson, Sean Hannity, Bush adviser Karl Rove, golfer Tom Watson and Rudolph Giuliani. Did i forget to mention it was a 400 guests wedding?
Limbaugh and Rogers met six years ago at a charity golf tournament. There is a 20 years difference between the two but that doesn’t seem to be a problem for them. Kathryn Rogers said she is “sometimes not able to relate to the average person my age.”
I’m guessing Elton John couldn’t help it and went for the million bucks. That is the reported $1 million payday for Elton John. But still , having a gay guy performing at your wedding is a bit ..awkward.
When Matalin was planning to marry Carville, a lot of stodgy Republicans started to snub her, but Rush defended her and encouraged her to follow her heart.
I think they both appreciated it at the time.
Personally, if I had the means and it was my wedding, I would have tried to get Tony Bennett....
Elton John has been a failure, relying on his past glories since going solo...........
But in the grand scheme of things, who cares..........

I don't know if they have written a book but I have heard Mary say they never talk politics at home. I find that interesting as their political views are so far apart. (Personally, I couldn't stand to listen to him talk about anything!)

The bottom line is can you blame a guy for wanting to make his new wife happy so that he can have great sex with the same person for the last 25 years of his life?

Here’s the difference between liberals and conservatives. It doesn’t matter to the conservative if the seller of a superior product happens to be liberal or gay. Liberals wear their affliction on their sleeve at all times and it drives ever decision they make.
I’d have sung at Rush’s wedding for nothing! He’d then have had a conservative - and a disaster!
$1M isn’t that much to pay a celeb of SEJ’s status, really. I’ve heard of individuals hiring big-names for about that amount to perform at private functions.

Well, congrats to Rush and Kathryn! Imagine having one of the most talented singers in the world, for the last 35 years, singing at your wedding! I grew up listening to Elton!!
Who cares who Elton sleeps with? And remember his marvelous comments on CA Prop 8, how his fellow gays should stop pushing gay marriage? He is quite happy with his British civil union, and can perfectly understand why heterosexuals want to keep marriage hetero.
Bravo Elton. I feel bad for him because of all the hateful comments (see this post’s People Mag link) to him from the “tolerant” lefties. They say he has to donate this “blood” money singing for a conservative. How the hell do they get away with calling our side hateful, when it is only they who hate?

Oh please. That is a stupid comment. What is “awkward” about anyone performing at a Wedding unless they were doing Live Sex Acts for the crowd? (That would apply to Homosexuals or Heterosexuals).
What next, if a Gay guy brushes past you you'll get Gay Cootie's? Comments like that reinforce the Leftist idea of Hatred toward Gays is supported by the Right.

I would only believe Glenn Beck would be there but others?NO.
If I had the money, I would have Streisand sing at my wedding. I don’t care about her politics. I love to listen to her sing. She’s the best.
