On the 69th anniversary of D-Day...how appropriate.
Morning AB, All...
...again, thanks AB for doing this thread. Hope life is finding you well, if uncomfortably hot.
On a personal note, this week I got a new computer and I am absolutely in love. First, know that it weighs a little over two pounds. It is an HP little thing, has a built in camera, speaker and wireless modem. I turned it on, hand to God, entered my Comcast wireless code...boom, boom and there you have it, connected to the Internet and ALL of my household computers. It has Windows 7...which I love.
On the political front, my man Rush got married yesterday...may he have happiness.
Finally....that awful Helen woman of the WH press corps, publicly demanding that the “Jews go home”.
She’s always been a bitter hag, we all know that, but that crack was over the top. She really should be fired but there’s doubt about that.
Keeping eye open for the Sunday talk shows. Meet the Depressed not on today....tennis or some such.
Thanks so much for doing this every week!
Wat’s to be gained by blasting Rush and his decision to get married?
I held out for him for so long but it didn’t happen. Now I wish him to move on, get over me, and happiness aplenty.
Sorry I reported that cartoon. I didn’t see yours before I posted.
I think that about sums it up, don’t you?
I love it.
I must smile.
:)
I want to know why we don’t have all sorts of methods being employed to remove the oil spill.
I want to know why we don’t have skimming tankers, bio methods, controlled fires, and all sorts of things going on.
I want to know why Bobby Jindal had to get on TV and rant before anything was approved to build berms and barriers.
Obama has known this was serious, since the first day, according to Richard Wolfe (approved Obama sycophant). So if he knew, why was he partying, ignoring pleas for help, and ignoring offers for help from 14 countries?
I’m not so sure he wants to win. I kind of think he wants to lose to her in a very close race because at the very least he has a lot of name recognition and a national donor base and then he can run for governor when Beebe is term limited out.
Sad day for both countries when our only reliable ally has to take gut punch after punch for doing the right thing.
Well Rod, once again I have to launch into my weekly mantra that perhaps the opposition party should be teaching the public something.
Cause frankly it gets old putting the burden on all of us to explain how it really is, although I do a pretty good job of it, insert smile here.
Why can’t some pub get the statistics, like how it would take five bazillion windmills to power the town of Podunk, or twelve gazillion solar cells would be needed to power one car? Not to mention that tidbit you so wisely mentioned about electricity not arising from fairy dust.
They could mention, to be politically correct AND realistically correct, that it would be a fine thing to augment research on these studies for alternative fuels with federal monies but as a viable solution, it’s a long way off.
The most vibrant democracies thrive and flourish and self-cleanse when there is an abrasive opposition party.
Our opposition party is too busy reaching across the aisle or cowering for fear of taking a firm stand.
CNN
Crowley mentions that the Obama Admin has a “disconnect” regarding the spill. Who is in charge, she asks of Thad Allen? Bumbling Obama can’t seem to decide whether Team Obama or whether BP is in charge.

[When the Lib media turns on you ....]
I am supporting any GOP candidate who has a warrior mentality.
I will not support any “reach across the aisle” efforts. The democrats couldn’t even be bipartisan when we were at war, so why should we make any effort to aid them in their efforts to make the US a third world country?
Warriors. They are out there. Support them!
CNN
Crowley mentions that Obama “is furious” over the spill events.
[She gave a slight smirk like, ‘oh really?’ Even the Libs are having a difficult time taking Team Obama seriously any more.]
Reminds me of a dhimmi yesterday who said,”now we can stop hearing drill baby drill.. and replace it with charge baby charge.” Fairy dust?
Jane, I could not agree more. We should be tackling the environmental impact in every way possible. Jindal is acting like a leader.
And that cartoon needs to be posted frequently in every blog.
<<<...Lincoln cant even vote in Arkansas because she registered to vote in Virginia.>>>

I believe that a lot of people vote in two places in the US. Here in Md our one-party state legislature has passed a law putting polling places on some university campuses. How many of those students will vote at school and also use an absentee ballot in their home state/county/precinct?
