huh?????

The authorities in Aruba were never able to produce any credible evidence that linked the suspects to Holloway's death. It just disturbed me that suspects could continue to be re-arrested without any credible evidence to back it up.

This is a US State Department description of Peruvian prisons:

Prison conditions were harsh for the 44,800 inmates, of whom 2,794 were women. The National Penitentiary Institute (INPE) operated 56 of the country’s 71 active prisons, and the National Police of Peru (PNP) has jurisdiction over the rest. Prisoners with money had access to cell phones, illegal drugs, and meals prepared outside the prison.

Conditions were poor to extremely harsh in facilities for prisoners who lacked funds. Overcrowding, poor sanitation, and inadequate nutrition and health care were serious problems. Inmates had intermittent access to running water, bathing facilities were inadequate, kitchen facilities were unhygienic, and prisoners slept in hallways and common areas for lack of cell space. Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS reportedly remained at near-epidemic levels. The San Juan de Lurigancho men’s prison held 9,874 prisoners in a facility designed for 3,204.

.....Conditions were especially harsh in maximum-security facilities located at high altitudes. The high-security prison in the jungle area of Iquitos was in poor condition and was under renovation. During the year the PNP transferred responsibility for operating the facility to INPE.

Prison guards and fellow inmates reportedly abused prisoners. There were deaths of inmates in prisons, most attributed to fellow inmates, but some were due to negligence by guards. Guards received little or no training or supervision. Corruption was a serious problem, and some guards cooperated with criminal bosses who oversaw the smuggling of guns and drugs into prisons.

By December authorities had sentenced only 17,297 of the 44,800 persons held in the country’s detention facilities. Authorities held detainees temporarily in pretrial detention centers located at police stations, judiciary buildings, and the Ministry of Justice. In most cases authorities held pretrial detainees with convicted prisoners.

The government permitted prison visits by independent human rights observers. The International Committee of the Red Cross made 44 unannounced visits in accordance with its standard modalities to inmates in 27 prisons and detention centers.

Now, decades in a hell hole.

Only if he is lucky to stay alive that long.

The Girl’s father ran for President twice. Joran you are a dead man

That is non-sequitur if he was a kook like Ralph Nader or Lyndon LaRouche.

There are so many horrendous reports about the Peruvian prison conditions; yet, ontheotherhand, online posters at many boards depict Peru as a non-3rd World nation, fully modern & Western.

The dichotomy is difficut to reconcile. Since Peru is where the Shining Path Guerillas were active, do you think that perhaps their terrorist activities might be responsible for some of the terrible conditions in the prisons?

If he didn’t kill Holloway, he admitted to selling her. This is a really bad guy with no conscience. I’m not a doctor but he maybe a sociopath.<<<<<<<<<

I think he admitted getting rid of her body to an undercover private investigator or journalist, don’t remember the details, while driving in a car with him. And it was taped. But he later said he was just sayin’ stuff. I believe he’s a sociopath, no question.

And I don’t get girls going off with him, he comes across as a scary individual.

“It just disturbed me that suspects could continue to be re-arrested without any credible evidence to back it up”

Why does that disturb you? They weren’t held any long period of time. Bringing suspects in for questioning multiple times is not unheard of here. As far as credible evidence goes, the statements made by the perps was plenty credible. Wouldn’t have bothered me if they had beat the truth out of them

.

I heard on talk radio and then on FNC

This “entitled” moron thought he was bulletproof and immortal

Now he stepped out of his comfort zone(s) as the women did

The Peruvian people on live TV were not rioting - just expressing their anger - obviously they believe he killed Natalie Holloway too

I have not followed the FBI messing up this case recently -

I am sure Obama will now blame GW Bush and Ronald Reagan for fouling up the FBI and this case too

Greta did beat the story into the ground

I am quite amazed that Joran was not “taken care of” long ago - in Europe or Asia or South America

I’d say sentencing him to a hard labor prison jungle work camp to await execution by hanging would be fitting

And let appeals bounce around for about 12 years - making his life day-to-day agony

Then suddenly hanging the bastard on live TV - broadcast worldwide

I hope they hook him up to an electric welder and scorch his hair and brains - find out who assisted him in Aruba - who wired him money - etc.

There was a recent interview with the founder of EquusSearch, Ted Miller who said that when they digging through the landfill, that Dompig from the Aruban police took Ted and Dave Holloway to a huge warehouse, all alone, away from all cameras and told them that Joran terrorized his entire family, that he ruled them all, they were all scared of him, and that Dompig advised them to stop searching the landfill for Natalee, that Joran was a sociopath who'd obviously murdered her and hidden her body far far far away in the ocean.

Personally, I think that there wer Human Traffickers who picked her up off the island and disappeared her into the sex slave trade in South America.

I was? Right the first time? LOL, I'd better turn in, it's way too late for coffee.

Isn't JVDS simply a piece of work??

And it's so chilling to watch Gretched being entirely taken in with him, almost smitten, as he tells that revolting story about selling NH for $9800 --- that interview is just repulsively revolting.

I do think that she was sold, but I also think there were adults on Aruba who knew what happened and who part of the coverup. That is just my OPINION of course.
