Opinion: Did Al Gore Invent His Marriage Too?
AOLNews ^ | June 3, 2010 | Richard Benedetto

(June 3) -- One big reason why the Al and Tipper Gore split-up comes as such a shock is because the former vice president and his wife worked so hard to project a public image of the perfect couple in a perfect marriage. And for the most part, we bought it.

Whether it was real or whether it was Memorex, only time will now tell. But there were clues all along that the storybook image might not have been quite as advertised. The biggest clue was that they seemed to be overdoing it. Good marriages just are. You don't have to keep talking about how good yours is. But somehow, we fell for it anyway.

Gore, on many occasions, went out of his way to publicly talk up the personal and marital bonds he and Tipper enjoyed, even more so in the late 1990s after Monica Lewinsky burst into the lives of Bill and Hillary Clinton. Running for president in 2000, Gore did all he could to draw sharp contrasts between the icy relations that had emerged between the Clintons and what he wanted voters to believe was the steamy hot attraction between the Gores.

My guess is that Gore is rich enough and “Hollywood” enough that women are throwing themselves at him. Tipper probably got wind of it.

Did Al Gore Invent His Marriage Too?

No, he deconstructed it.

Why would he want to continue with the woman who, whatever my reservations about her judgment, stood by him, raised a family, and wanted to spend time with the grandkids? He has millions of adoring people across the planet who ignore his millions and his audacious hypocrisy, and think he farts ice cream?

How could Tipper compete? She knows everything about him, knows he is a human like everyone else...while all those strangers think he is a Messiah.

I bet he has a trophy wife the age of one of his daughters within the year, whether we all hear about it or not.

***...women are throwing themselves at him****

More like throwing up!!!

Al Gore loves himself above all others...but he is a lying, pompous narcissist capable of deceiving Tipper as he has tried to con the world with phony science.

Tipper was taking anti depressants and drugs years ago. People wondered why? Now they know.

I bet you are right. He let it all go to his head, so now he actually believes that all these people love him. Oh well, let him pull a Paul Mccartney and have half of his half of his fortune taken in a divorce from a gold digger.

He always seemed on the GAY side to me. Certainly not my idea of “manly”.

I thought he might have come out of the closet too. That, or he is going to be sued for all his global warming fraud and wanted half his fortune safe with the “ex-wife”??

Yes, you and I consider Al repulsive. But, trust me, women are probably waiting in line to do him. He’s famous, he’s rich and (to them) he’s a “hip”, environmental guru. Is it fair? No. Is it disgusting? Yes. But its the way of the world. $$ + Fame = nookie. Looks & class are a tiny factor in the equation.

When Al kissed Tipper, the liberal women were gushing over it. It was nauseating to listen to them.

The other day in the store I heard a bunch of women, and the main topic of their talk was incredible surprise and disappointment at the divorce. “Who would have ever thought? They were so much in love!”

Read the rest of the article at the link. It is in interesting personal glimpse of Tipper — the person who has been lost in this world of political maneuvering.

My dad has always said Gore was light in the loafers.

I will tell you he is one of those prescient people that often weirdly turns out correct. It was intensely irritating to me as a child when he came out with some strange pronouncement of something, everyone would laugh, but later he would be proved right.

I’ve learned not to scoff anymore. I file it away for future reference. Now where is his new CA condo located again?

There are no perfect marriages because there are no perfect people! Where one party may think it's perfect, the other is either keeping his/her mouth shut or is in denial.

Just my humble opinion!

To be filed in the Useless Freeper Factoid File (UFFF)

Members of the MSM press corpse know that Al and Tipper are NEVER to be photographed from behind. The same goes for Bill and Hillary. Early in the first Clinton Show, a photo was taken of the two couples a posteriori and it looked exactly like the old SNL "Butt Family" skits.

We are talking blotoutthesuncausecropfailure-sized behinds here. At least double-wides all around. Tipper did have some curve to it!

For further toward the bottom of the UFFF Martha Stewart and Oprah enforce the same rule, but they won't even let anyone WALK behind them on the set.

But, but wasn’t their courtship the basis for the movie and novel LOVE STORY?

Perhaps Tipper has figured out that all of Al's BS about global warming are lies that will soon be made public and he will at least be branded a charlatan if not prosecuted for fraud. He is already ridiculed.

Not even a saint could put up with being married to such a pompous ass. Double ditto for RFK jr.'s wife.
