Weapons can be traced. This is gonna put a serious dent in illegal gun dealers. Good. The bastards deserve to go to jail, in Mexico. How do you say “Maricon”, Pendajo?

Re “You can’t oppress 100 million people with guns”.

Tell that to the So. Vietnamese, the No. Koreans, the Burmese, the Laotians, the Cambodians, the Cubans, the Hamas oppressed Gaza palestinians, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and coming to a theater near you soon, Venezuela, Nicaragua and possibly El Salvador.

"Most stories about someone busted for a “cache” of guns and ammo have all that in minute detail even if the gerbalist has to make it up."

Too many questions upon reading this article to take it seriously especially knowing the vast majority of all the illicit weapons entering Mexico are coming from South of their border.

I call BS on this one until I see something of substance from a reliable source not the Leftist BBC.

Are guns banned in Mexico?

Any military caliber is completely banned for civilian ownership. Other calibers are legal, but I don't know what the requirements are for owning one. Might be a lot of hoops to jump through.

By the government definition “any weapon capable of firing more than one round at a time or uses a clip with more than a single round is a “assault weapons” If you have a semi-auto 22 rifle for target shooting , you have a”assault” weapon in your home. Amost every full-auto weapon used by the drug cartel was delivered by the U.S. Army. Ban all sales of weapons by U.S. to Mexican army.

I found a video that shows a couple close ups of the rifles.

http://www.pro8news.com/news/95382304.html

They are just semi-auto Century AK’s. Some AK-74’s, 47’s, some Yugo Model 70’s. Nothing special.

Unless the drivers were felons or otherwise prohibited from legally possessing the guns then they haven't committed a crime and are being railroaded.

Some of the people on this board may be in a position one day to secret away a cache of arms. If they are found out you can expect the same treatment from the media and government. You will be labeled a terrorist and made a monkey of before you ever set foot in a courtroom.

More than likely, smuggled thru the Port of Houston. Busted in the US = short stay @ Club Fed. Busted in Mexico = gauranteed long ugly sty @ Club Federale.

That is certainly what the MSM would have us believe.

Yea, fully auto? Who can buy these? Media slant...?

I'll tell ya what....I've had enough of this illegal shit...and I know how to solve it - real quick like.

Shoot the assholes.

No bag limit per day.

After the body bags tossed over the border start to build up, maybe the ignorant fucks will get the message - "Come to America illegally - and die!"

I'm going to start with a paint ball gun - several spots on the way to work where the vermin gather.......

They don't know it now but they will be thanking their God that I start with a paint ball......

You are leaving my country.

Don't count on the Fed for protection.

You are illegal.....target!

they found 147 assault rifles, 53 bayonets and more than 10,000?

What a joke.

68 bullets per gun? LOL....That isn’t enough for target practice much less a full carry.

Bayonets to boot? Seriously?

What is an assault weapon? Whatever you conjure up in your mind?

Looks like the narco gangs have been on another shopping spree at the walmart in San Antonio.

Those things look junky. Probably make decent 50 yard Cordless long distance drills but they are junky.

IT’s all part of the plan to insinuate that the narco’s main source of weaponry is the USA...

They could buy more, and better stuff directly from the manufacturers and have it imported in a more efficient, more secure method, directly to their front door...

This was either a low-level operation, or just a stupid way to give our side something to claim, and insinuate, to the un-washed masses in this country, that do not know any better, that this is the way they do it ALL the time...

All designed to give the powers at be the ammunition to further their agenda to restrict and infringe upon our rights in this country at the behest of a failed system in another...

Not buying any of this article and its data at all...

The yugo model 70’s are a pretty good. They're the under-fold AK’s with the chrome bolt and grenade launching sights. During the obummer runup in prices the model 70’s were going for >$700.

The WASR series stamped AK’s from Century, which most of these appear to be, aren't that great but the old SAR-1/2/3’s that they sold 5-10 years ago were really good. I have owned several SAR-1’s over the years and regret selling them since a comparable AK with good fit & finish is considerably more now. They used to run about $250 if you bought 3 or more. Those were the days.

They’re supposed to be banned, if you have political pull,
you can get a gun.
