Paul also suggested that Republicans back off criticizing Obama on the Gulf spill. Paul makes sense fiscally, but anything else and he's in “straight jacket territory.”

"-Branstads Pro-Life, Pro-Gun, Pro-Family. Best governor the state had.
-He implemented spending reform measures and streamlined state government from 64 departments to 25.
-Cut $700 million out of the budget.
-Cut income tax by 10%
-Eliminated the inheritance tax.
-When he left office Iowa had a $900 million surplus after tax cuts were made.
-He voted against collective bargaining.
-He helped the accommodation for home educating in Iowa become law (and I certainly thank him for that).
-He implemented tax tuition credits, as well as, arrangements for books and busing agreements between public and private schools.
-Passed the Defense of Marriage Act
He held the Governorship for 16 years until he left, was a favorite of Ronald Reagan's, and currently holds a 70% approval rating.
For the record, that's:
An Exceptional record on Life Issues,
An Exceptional record on Family/Social Issues,
An Exceptional Record on Homeschooling Issues,
An Exceptional record on Second Amendment Issues.
Real budget cuts (not just cuts in the rate of increase, REAL cuts)
Real reduction in state workers - actually CLOSED Departments.
Elimination of Inheritance tax altogether.
10% Income tax cut.
REAL record fighting public school union thugs. Tsk! Tsk! We must not let the facts screw up some of the lunatic ramblings of the FR leftists...

She stepped in it again?
Hardly. But you have.
PISSANT POLITICS RULE #1: When Duncan Hunter makes a questionable endorsement, shout from the rooftops that endorsements are completely meaningless.
PISSANT POLITICS RULE #2: When anyone BUT Duncan Hunter (especially an attractive female) makes a questionable endorsement, shout from the rooftops how important and meaningful endorsements are.

From Titan's list, it looks like Branstad is conservative.
So what's all the hubbub Pissant?

“soon very soon Pissant will discover he, pissant the great, is the only real conservative left in America”
He's already figured that out. People like me just don't understand that Sarah Palin is faking it when she is the only major Republican supporting Jan Brewer or fighting for things like limited government, a strong national defense, energy independence, etc. After all, not all her endorsements suit Pissant.
Palin hasn't done nearly as much to battle Obama as the Falcon Party. That's all O’Reilly, Hannity and Greta were talking about tonight - how the Falcon Party is taking it to Obama.

Okay, I just read Brandstad’s bio and don’t see anything that would make me question his conservative cred. In fact, I see he had the guts to go to war with the government parasite unions and has a 70% positive approval rating among Iowans.
Is this another case of our marginal goofballs preferring to tilt at windmills rather than simply win? I swear, some of my fellow (alleged) “tea partiers” are beginning to remind me more and more of the Libertarians. Hey, let’s nominate Andre Marrou to be our Republican candidate for President! Yeah, there’s a sure winner!
To: GLDNGUN
Just the opposite. I was pissed when Hunter endorsed Huckabee. Then again, I’d have been even more pissed-er if he had endorsed flip flopper Mitt or McAmnesty.

If you check the link pissant provided, it's not even by a columnist. It's by a blogger and most bloggers - myself included - have agendas (except pissant of course)

Weep?
This is even older than DeMint’s endorsement of Romney and Grahamnesty, or Duncan Hunter's endorsement of Mike Huckabee, or Duncan Hunter's endorsement or all RINOs.
Heck, Cheney campaigned for A Democrat just a few years ago (Congressman).
How does this 2006 endorsement change his rock-solid, proven, long-standing record of Conservative governance?
It doesn't.

RE :”
Why is she endorsing all of these people? Whats in it for her?”
The theory I have read posted by many of her most enthusiastic posters here is that she is lining up the IOUs for when she runs for president. I have read them post :”She has to support McCain to get nominated” . I don't know what's she's up to so I won't comment on the idea.

What RINO has Hunter endorsed in a primary. Hunter founded the Conservative Opportunity Society. Learn about it someday.

Huh... Thanks for that link. I am (obviously) not real familiar with Iowa politics or Branstad. It does indeed look like Terry Branstad is the scumbag Iowa conservatives are rejecting. Shame on Palin for this one. Endorsing McCain was one thing - - people who criticize Palin for not being a disloyal, backstabbing ingrate are morons - - but her endorsement of Branstad is nothing short of sloppy.

Bleeding Heartland is a community blog for Democrats and progressives in the state of Iowa.
When you have to take from left wing democrats to smear Branstad, that tells me all I want to know.
