The Media Research Center pulled this enlightening report from the Tuesday CBS Evening News...the reporter demurely suggests....that Gore's win of the popular vote in 2000 but loss of the electoral vote could be a reason he and his wife are now separating.
In other words, it's George W. Bush's fault.

CBS who?! =.=
George Bush - is there anything he can’t do?
You’ve got to be kidding me....
Forget the Obamessiah, apparently George W. Bush is much more powerful and omnipresent in all situations.
I thought it was Emmanual Goldstein!
Good for George!! However I disagree. I believe it must be very difficult on a marriage when the husband is so busy trying to save the world! ~sarc
Bull Hockey!!!!!!!!
More likely Tipper didn’t want to get beamed up with AlGore by his loony tin foil hat friends and worshipers.
It is a shame when a marriage ends but it is the decision of the TWO involved. Speculation by others is just poor form and reflects badly on the speculator. IMHO any way.
I don’t watch ABC, CBS or NBC anyway because of reporters starting back in the 60’s & 70’s MAKING the news rather than REPORTING the news.
The fact Gore’s a bit ‘touched’ wouldn’t have helped much either, I surmise.
“And who are these people?” re: the busts @ Monticello -good one.
Let’s face it. A life spent battling manbearpig is bound to be a lonely one. It’s sort of the same reason why Batman never got married.
Hard to be married to a pathological liar, and a thief.
Go Tipper!!
Free at last!
By that standard the Kennedys are responsible for Watergate because of the impact the 1960 election had on Nixon.
Wait for the shoe to drop. Let’s see if Big Al or Trippy are the one who began the affair?
Aw, you mean that because HOT AIR, Al Gore LOST to Bush, that there MARRIAGE WAS DOOMED? COuldn’t Al Gore handle being the LOSER that he is? My, my. Yes, it it the fault of Bush that THEIR MARRIAGE FAILED! LOL!!!!
In 2000 all Al Gore needed to do was win Tennessee, his home state. If the people of Tennessee didn’t want him then why should the rest of the nation? I always remind my lefty friends, of whom I have none, of this fact every time they start whining about the 2000 election. Shuts them right up.
Maybe Al can get into a same s3x marriage that Laura Bush will endorse.....
AG: "You know Tipper, if they had not stolen the election..."
TG: "OH, give me a f'n break Al, I'm sick and tired of hearing that s*** every damn day! if they had done this or they hadn't done that, get over it!! You lost!!
AG: but, but...
TG: YOU LOST AL!! LOSER!!! If it had not been for that stupid kiss, I might have gotten to redecorate the WH instead of a damn librarian!
So, a political loss ten years ago is just now leading to a separation. I thought I was slow...
