House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says she believes she must pursue public policies "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh."

Pelosi, who is a Catholic and who favors legalized abortion, voted against the ban on partial-birth abortion that was enacted into law in 2003.

Pelosi must be getting desperate if she is playing the Christian Card.

Fancy Nancy must have seen polls that are showing that the Dims are going to get a World Class beat down in November.

She has nothing else in her bag of tricks so she is down to pretending that she is a devout Christian.

My guess is, this whole thing about “The Word” is Pelosi’s pathetic attempt to tack right, its the most she can bring herself to do that would not seem completely hypocritical to *some* independents, is to talk in general terms about “The Word.” Notice she avoided saying Jesus, because that would offend some constituents, who associate Jesus with right wing “crazies.”

She must have watched what happened to the “WON” in Illinois yesterday - as soon as the “WON” got to the cemetery to speak, the heavens opened up with high winds, driving rain, thunder and lightening - driving him off the grounds without being able to give his speech.
