I think it is completely fair to rain hell on a foreign invading party.

In a written statement released May 31, Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, director of the Vatican press office, called the incident “a very painful event” that church officials were following closely.
Oh for crying out loud...Just SHUT UP already!!!

Lombardi is awful, but I think he´s about to retire (in fact, he may already be retired, but his replacement hasn´t taken over yet). Still, that said ¨deploring the loss of life¨ is a pretty harmless statement.
People with Stockholm syndrome, like that Spanish priest in Gaza, on the other hand, need work. Actually, I suspect that only lefties even apply for those assignments.

Israel didn’t make any secret of it’s blockade...they would have been justified in nblowing them out of the water as far as I’m concerned.

So do I. The Vatican should be silent and that would be enough.

What's an infidel priest doing in the strip? Is this like the pro-communist catholics in Latin America? Does the good father attempt to convert Muslims there to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? Are those converts then murdered as called for under Sharia Law that Hamas upholds? Why isn't this priest executed since he's spreading heresy? I think the reason infidel priest works hand-in-glove with extreme Muslims when they should be arch enemies is because they both have the same master.

Why say a DAMNED THING? How stupid. Don’t they have internet access at the Vatican? Didn’t they see the two videos? Or are they just going to believe the Hamas Press Office? Pathetic! STFU!

The Vatican is useless in matters like these.
To: James C. Bennett
The Vatican deplored the "useless loss of life" in an assault by Israeli commandos on a flotilla of ships taking aid to the Gaza Strip. Well.... I think the Vatican should have "been saddened by the loss of life which occurred when Israeli commandos were forced to board a flotilla of ships that were attempting to force their way through a wartime blockade, instead of using the normal, and available, path to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip."
I think the Vatican should always be saddened by a loss of life, but should never repeat anti-Israel propaganda.

Completely false headline by CNS. The only thing the Vatican statement “deplores” is the loss of life. The Vatican statement did not use the word “assault” or “attack”. Those are the words of the priest in Gaza.

The Vatican exorcist is right in that the devil is living among the faithful at the Vatican.
The Vatican priest should stick to what they know...take it where you wish.

Since the Vatican apparently deplores using force against invaders they should dismiss the Pontifical Swiss Guard. Since defense isn't a viable reason to use force the Guard serves no purpose.

Oh gee...more PR help for left/socialists/commies/terrorists from Catholic Priests and the Vatican.
Will Nuns be next? They were so helpful to the left in stealing our private healthcare and earnings.
