Former Vice President Al Gore to separate from wife Tipper after 40 years of marriage

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, are separating after 40 years of marriage.

According to an e-mailed statement obtained by The Associated Press on Tuesday, the Gores said it was "a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration."

Gore spokeswoman Kalee Kreider confirmed the statement came from the Gores, but declined to comment further.

Al Gore lost the 2000 presidential election to Republican George W. Bush. He has since campaigned worldwide to draw attention to climate change, which in 2007 led to a Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth."

Tipper Gore is known for her advocacy on mental health issues. She became interested partly because her mother suffered from depression.

The Gores have four adult children.

“Tipper Gore is known for her advocacy on mental health issues. “

I suspect living with Mr. Fraudulent Global Warming also interested her in being an advocate for MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. Her own husband is out of his mind.

I guess when Al couldn’t hoodwink everyone with global warming, and became a loser once again - well, that was the last straw for ole Tipper.

For either...

After being married for that long.....with that amount of money at their disposal....The only reasons that I can think of to split would be one of them finding another or abuse of some type...drugs, alcohol, physical..

Possible an attempt by one or the other to sober up the spouse.

What were the rumors way back when regarding their substance use?

“she probably couldn’t handle him being so crazy any longer.” My thoughts exactly. No wonder she has been advocating mental health.

Any bets on who the “other woman” is?...Just saying.

I'm going to bet on this being a financial deal. Al was pitching for a lot of bogus companies. Wind power companies that never built a windmill. Electric car companies that never built a car. Carbon trading companies that cannot trade carbon credits now that the governments aren't playing along. These didn't rip off poor conservatives. Companies he backed have taken hundreds of millions from rich liberals. And as the global climate conference in Europe falls apart they are going to be calling their rich liberal lawyers and sending them to talk to Al.

By getting a divorce now, before the SHTF Al can hide 50 million dollars and the family home with Tipper. Then when they come form him he just get the new house in CA and whatever he has left in his bachelor account. And once everything has settled down he and Tipper have a reconciliation for the sake of their 50 million loved ones.

Maybe Al found someone he could relate to on his emotional level. My bet is that he got one of the Japanese Love robots.

Gore is probably keeping in step with his Democrat buddies screwing some bimbo liberal on the side. I believe as you and think that Tipper found him with some bimbo straddled under Gore.

Makes sense. I have wondered when he was going to be held accountable for these things.

On the other hand, I understand how people can get to a point where, no matter how many years of marriage there have been, one of the people just gets FED UP - and often that is a healthy thing, particularly when the person who gets fed up is the one who is prone to depression!

Well said onyx...LOL! They should have done it years ago! That convention kiss back in 2000 pretty much previewed how this story would end. Perhaps now Gore can find the man of his dreams...perhaps he already has....ROTFLOL!!
