Thank you for the ping, save. Big sigh. So sad. I thought of Tony the other day---and once again felt such a void at his absence.
Prayers offered for his dear family today as they remember their amazing husband, father, son.
I miss his presence in our lives.

Amen to your post, Kieri.
I, too, have thought of him so many times over the past year and a half and wished he was here to give his opinion. His optimistic spirit would be a help to us all.

Tony was an all around decent guy. The kind of guy you wish for as a colleague, mentor, in-law or drinking buddy.
His columns in the Washington Times introduced me to common sense. In an ever ascending career, he always maintained an even strain of civility. One of the few whose trouser and hat sizes remained constant.

Tony, if you ever doubt it....you are missed, big time!
The only press secretary that could give a history lesson to the jerks that tried to trip you up or outsmart you...HA!
Save, how are you doing? Praying that things are better!

I am improving every day. I am still not where I need to be and am waiting for the doctors to agree on whether to do additional procedures.

Tony set a unique example of moral and intellectual courage and civility. I miss him and his voice greatly in our national debates. He was one of those special people who lifted his eyes and saw beyond current afflictions, and whose approach to life and its problems was and is truly worthy of emulation.

Good to hear you’re improving! I hope any new procedures are boring and uneventful!!

Hi saveliberty. What a wonderful Thread and pix. Tarheel is a bit under the weather this morning, so I am playing cook and nurse, payback for having been spoiled by her for 49 years [as of next week].
It is nice to see so many SnowFlakes and other FRiends gathering to remember Tony.
Back in a while to post and read more.

You are both very kind. One of my tumors is in a run-a-way mode and Chemo is about exhausted. But I still have the cyberknive which I will have over the next couple of weeks.
It’s like I used to say during the Viet Nam period (three tours) “Heaven aint ready for me just yet and the Devil is scared of me!
Keep smiling! I am.
