I don't think I got there but I do remember the Seventeen Mile Drive and Pebble Beach. We would cruise past the guard post on our motorcycles and cut throw the trees up the highway to get in for free.
Doris Day and Kim Novak lived there at the time......but I'm dating myself.

So was Marine chow.....the take out orders, that is.
Next to the Navy enlisted mess at NPGS, the chow hall at Goodbuddy AFB whopped my jaws. I had had no idea that I could walk in and get a cheese burger and fries anywhere except off base.

Best chow I had in the service was at USNH Yokosuka, Japan - I was there for four weeks and gained 20 lbs.
