Hey there Kathy, been MIA looks like! What a great tribute, beautiful. It’s going to take some time read the interesting links.

We have been bless by soldiers/Marines who have touched our lives, particularly since 9/11. Several after serving for several depolyments in Iraq are headed for Afghanistan.

In nearby Kerrville, TX a young Marine almost lost his leg in an IED attack on his Humvee on his deployment in Iraq. It took him two years to recuperate (BAMC) and work his way back up to pass PT requirements. He petitioned for re-entry and was accepted only to be killed by another IED in Afghanistan soon after he arrived in country.

We honor those whose lives were cut short and we promise to live our lives in a way that will honor their sacrifices, if such a thing is possible.

I was honored to play for the funeral of a WW2 navigator in the US Army Air Corps, didn’t catch what type of bomber, possibly a B-17. Forced landing, taken captive, severe injuries and little treatment. Survived all that, came home and continued to live an incredibly generous life touching all those around him and I’m sure many that we don’t know about.

Time and again we clearly see that that quality of serviceman/woman is still present, that dedication to duty and love of country that makes this country so great and we thank God for them, always.

Good evening Brushcop....you know I’ve so enjoyed your artwork that Kathy posts.

May I ask the meaning of your tagline?
