Charles nailed the "Clintonian response" from the White House!
If you want a quick catchup on the key issues raised by the allegations of a White House bribe of Congressman Joe Sestak, spend a few minutes with Charles Krauthammer. From Friday's panel discussion on Fox News Special Report:

The White House statement on Sestak Gate is here. It is a very well crafted document, but as Krauthammer points out it's even more interesting for what it does NOT say.
From the statement: "Efforts were made in June and July of 2009 to determine whether Congressman Sestak would be interested in service on a Presidential or other Senior Executive Branch Advisory Board." Later: "White House staff did not discuss these options with Congressman Sestak. The White House Chief of Staff enlisted the support of former President Clinton who agreed to raise with Congressman Sestak options of service."

Personally I think Clinton is little more than a tar baby. While we’re tied up waiting for him to explain the difference between is and is, the administration will be scrubbing.

It's getting harder to find the stories on this - including the direct quotes from Romanoff. someone needs to get them cached quick. (and do I remember that Romanoff was also offered a high end position for his brother?)
I expect the Clintons to doublecross Obama at the most convenient time. No one deserves it more.

According to the scroll on FNC, the NYT is reporting that the Sestak was ineligible to accept the job that Clinton allegedly offered...lol.
Furthermore, the same FNC scroll reported Issa’s wonderful comments, but I’m not about to try to paraphrase Darrell Issa because he has the cover-up nailed!
I’m going with Newt’s speculation on this one: Clinton’s phone took place, but it’s a diversion. The red meat job offer came in a later phone call to Sestak by Rahm.
