A payoff? Nope, I think they are doing the right thing here. The marshes, especially along the Mississippi River Delta, will fell the effects for many years. BP had little choice but to pony up the research and monitoring dough. The CEO took full responsibility during congressional testimony.

Half a billion dollars to find out crude oil kills things and businesses fold? Its a pay-off. We’ll see the usual crap come out of these money. Women and minorities hit hardest. The country needed productive workers, not to fund BS artists.
