They may impeach then, but they won’t get favorable vote in the Senate. And if they do attempt to impeach, that could sour many voters and give Obama a 2nd term.
This goes on all the time. Chicago politics as usual. Remember the scandal selling Obama’s old seat? The press has no taste for covering that at all. Sestak was clueless enough to say it. I wouldn’t want to be him today, the pressure must be enormous.
I can’t imagine anything happening. Rahm is a sharp operator. This won’t get to Obama. Some other poor schmuck will take the fall, perhaps even Rahm.

Official of the Government - yes Sestak is a Congressman. But he’s running for Senate. The “decision in your favor” is not in his official capacity as a Congressman, the “decision in your favor” is in his capacity as a candidate. A candidate is not an official of the government.

And even if by some miracel he were impeached they won't vote him out in the senate.

If no one in Congress is going to vote to impeach, and no one in the Senate is going to go to trial on this alligation, then there is certainly going to be no reason to appoint a special prosecutor to even start and investigation...
So that leaves us with a big goose egg...
