To: worst-case scenario

Yes this would be added or available to the grid. I don’t know how the contracts are set or who the owners are. I’m not on a power company in the Texas grid [ERCOT] so don’t know how their rates compare. One problem or need is transmission facilities to bring some of the available areas into play.

Totally agree about the transmission facilities. Our electrical grid is going to be pounded by demand as we move from an oil-based to electrical-based technology. It’s already strained to the breaking point - the Northeast Blackout of 2003 was only a foretaste.

That’s one spending program I can get behind on a Federal level. Apply the same strategy of defense spending to the power grid that Ike applied to the Interstate Highway System.
