Either the BP Oil Gusher Has Just Completely Blown Out, or BP is Implementing LMRP RIGHT NOW
Washington's Blog ^ | 05/28/2010

Posted on 05/28/2010 8:10:12 PM PDT by Rutles4Ever

I took a break from work, and watched the live feed for a minute. I either just saw the whole thing entirely blow out, or BP is implementing LMRP or hot tap right now.

Specifically, I saw a HUGE rain of white clumps and particles which are either foam-like objects used in a junk shot or methane hydrates.

Then all of the water within the camera view got very, very dark. When I looked more closely, I could make out the outline of massive jet-black plumes of oil rising from below the camera.

At least as of right now (6:00 pm Pacific Standard Time), if you look at the live video feed below, you can see what I mean.

This is either very, very bad, or BP has abandoned the top kill/junk shots altogether and is in the middle of surgery where it has already cut off sections of the BOP and/or riser, and is trying to cap it off with a sealing grommet.

What I mean is that windfarms and solar farms have a huge Impact on the environment with very little payoff.

People who shill for that type of energy should have it built in their backyards and stop bitching about the oil in my backyard.

Don’t know if Putie said it, but yes, the Russians have used small tactical nukes before to fix situations like this...hope it doesn’t come to that, but it would work.

Yeah. I also note that that margarine caused more heart attacks than anything known to man.

Funny how they sold that crap as natural.

He did say he was calling the shots; even about the top-kill effort:

In his own words Obama owns the top-kill operation:

“Now, when it comes to what’s happening on the surface, we’ve been much more involved in the in situ burns, in the skimming. Those have been happening more or less under our direction. And we feel comfortable about many of the steps that have been taken. There have been areas where there have been disagreements. I’ll give you two examples.

Initially on this top kill, you know, there were questions in terms of how effective it could be. But also what were the risks involved? Because we’re operating at such a pressurized level, a mile underwater, and at such frigid temperatures that the reactions of various compounds and various approaches had to be calibrated very carefully.

That’s when I sent Steven Chu down, the secretary of Energy, and he brought together a team — basically, a brain trust, some of the smartest folks we have at the national labs and in academia — to essentially serve as a oversight board with BP engineers and scientists in making calculations about how much mud could you pour down, how fast, without risking potentially the whole thing blowing.

So in that situation, you’ve got the federal government directly overseeing what BP is doing, and Thad Allen is giving authorization when finally we feel comfortable that the risks of attempting a top kill, for example, are — are sufficiently reduced that it needs to be tried.”

Obama has suspended all new Gulf of Mexico deep-water drilling (by all companies) for at least the next six months.

And the tragedy of it is that Deep Horizon might have actually hit the motherload - there might be more oil down there than any of us are capable of imagining.

But that's the socialist playbook: Destroy, destroy, destroy, and then destroy some more.

The one good thing is they claim to own the situation now.

The bad thing is they will use this to shove green energy down our throats, resulting in higher costs, even more infringement on nature and less efficiency.

I truly believe that conservatives are better stewards of our environment than leftwing environazi’s. Look at all of the terrible consequences of their environmental policies over the last 50 years! Why the republicans abandoned the argument 20 years ago and let them define the terms and fake science is a great mystery to me. It’s time to take it back with common sense solutions and real science!

OMG..I didn’t even watch that until just now. Don’t you just love how he ends by telling all the elites(including himself) that they should use white limos from here on out. Spoken like a true communist. They will alter their lavish lifestyles by taking white limos..while the rest of us peasants are forced to live in white cardboard houses with government controlled thermostats and menial jobs to support the global communist bureaucracy.

God help Us! These people are dangerous and evil.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least. They’ve been lying about the size of this disaster from day one. Hey, they lied all along - about how this would never happen. About how quickly and easily they could fix it if something ever DID happen.

And now the BP guy is saying that they are going to limit the amount of info they release because it’s “stock-market sensitive.”
