Time to stock up on bags. I see a profit center here. Collect bags now and resell when they are scarce.

Note to environmentalists: Not too good for forests.

Note to grocers: When you lie with the devil, you will get what you deserve.

Sam’s has them by the thousands. They call them Tee-Shirt Bags. But better hurry, as there will DEFINITELY be a run on them.

“single-use plastic bags”

They are NOT single use. I take my lunch in them, bring them home and them use them for garbage bags.

Let's see the state is approaching bankruptcy, but the legislators have nothing better to do than mandate what kind of bags we use.

From now I instead of calling them greenies is will refer to them as inconveniencers.

Fools, idiots, and morons. There's no sanity for the California Legislature. The idiot Schwarzenegger will sign it as well. I use the bags from the store all the time around the house. I have to take these bags to the local dog park because the city doesn't furnish bags for cleanup and we are legally responsible to pick up for our dogs.

STUPIDITY SQUARED- California Democrats-dumber than a box of rocks.

The Liberal morons in the CA Assembly are worried about everything but the real issues of high unemployment, a mass exodus from the State, small businesses going under, and the fact that the state is bankrupt.

California, the home of Liberal Insanity.

What’s next...a ban on pots to pi$$ in?

Considering the shape CA is in, how people carry their purchases is the least of their problems.

I think that it’s about high time that we ban California.

It seems that the Adults that live there have lost any control that they once held.

Here is a Mexican highway for illegals:

How will Mexicans get to America if plastic bags are illegal?

Great idea! The state is in debt up to its you-know-what and instead of cutting costs, they’re passing silly laws banning plastic bags.

California continues to fulfill its purpose in showing other states what NOT to do.

We recycle or reuse all our plastic bags. I recently collected plastic bags to reuse to contain takeout orders from our church bazaar. And by using cloth bags, we use plastic bags a lot less than we did (except for around church bazaar time). But reusable cloth bags tend to become contaminated with bacteria, so there is a downside to everything.

This is yet another case where government should leave us (and merchants) alone, except to provide recycling facilities. We’re more capable of making informed decisions than ideology-driven bureaucrats!!!!
