I have little doubt that about 80% of the Paulites would be sitting home and sulking rather than "getting behind" Trey Grayson if he was the nominee.... Unity is a one way street with the RON PAUL "R EVOL TION" , it's always THEIR way or the highway. Anyone who agrees with them only 99% of the time and deviates from Paul's views on a single bill is pond scum, but if Ron Paul agrees with us 75% of the time then "Reagan's 11th commandment" means we can't criticize what he does the other 25% of the time.

Jim DeMint, Tom Coburn, Jeff Flake, Ron Paul -- I'm a big fan of MOST Congressmen or Senators who get a 90% or better rating from the National Taxpayers Union; it's just that Ron Paul is always amongst that honored few, year after year. I'm hoping that Rand Paul will be as well.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then you don't understand the fundamentals of conservatism. Of course Ron Paul gets excellent ratings from the National Taxpayers Union. They're a single issue organization dedicated to lower taxes. Paul is rock solid on that issue. But conservativism means more than just "low taxes". You might want to read up on the movement sometime and educate yourself. It's called conservatism, not Lowtaxism.

Paul's conservative ratings on national security issues and social issues is less impressive. Organizations that rate politicians on ALL conservative policies give Paul about a 75% rating. Far better than a Democrat, but nowhere near as conservative as Tom Coburn -- or even Mitch McConnell for that matter.
