Quote: On Sept. 27, 2009, the Denver Post reported that the Obama administration offered Senate candidate Romanoff a position if he canceled plans to run for the Democratic nomination against incumbent Sen. Michael Bennet.
The paper said the job offer, which specified particular jobs, reportedly was delivered by Jim Messina, Obamas deputy chief of staff. One position the Post cited was a job at USAID, the foreign aid agency.
Messina contacted Romanoff soon after news leaked in August 2009 that Romanoff, former Colorado House speaker, would make a primary run against Bennet.

Blago’s trial starts Wed. June 3. Bammy’s delivering some goods to Chicago this weekend to make sure it doesn’t start at all.
Thanks for your explanation...I see the difference now.
Sorry all, but Obama will get away with this one also. Nothing can touch this guy.

Obama, in fearing a revolution against him by the States, this report continues, has moved swiftly against them, including nationalizing nearly all National Guard Forces in Governor Pawlentys Minnesota in what is being described as their States largest call up of troops since World War II. Other reports coming from the United States are stating that Obama has also nationalized the National Guard forces in Georgia, Alabama, Kansas, and perhaps Texas too.
Though Obama may have taken from these dissident States their National Guard forces, the Governors of the States of Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia still have under their sole command their State Defense Forces to go against US Federal forces.
So, was it pulled from congress.org to cover it up, or because it is bunk?
D.C. job alleged as attempt to deter Romanoff (0bama Regime offers job to drop out of Sen. race in CO)White House Accused of Federal Crime in Specter, Bennet Races
For the second time in five months, the Obama White House is being accused -- by Democrats -- of offering high ranking government jobs in return for political favors. What no one is reporting is that this is a violation of federal law that can lead to prison time, a fine or both, according to Title 18, Chapter 11, Section 211 of the United States Code.
The jobs in question? Secretary of the Navy and a position within the U.S. Agency for International Development.
The favor requested in return? Withdrawal from Senate challenges to two sitting United States Senators, both Democrats supported by President Obama. The Senators are Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania and Michael Bennet in Colorado.

How did he manage to get sealed divorce records released against his opponent for the Illinois state senate seat he won? Not too different than this.
If Bush couldn’t nationalize the LA Nat. Guard without Gov. Blanco’s permission how could Barry0 do it with all of those states? Doesn’t pass the smell test.
The Demonrats were bribing right and left in the run up to passage of Obamacare so two more are in perfect character.
Based on past experience you are on firm ground.
A job is a “thing of value”. It represents monetary value.
JMHO, of course.
“Reminds me of Blago, wonder what else has gone on and may start leaking”
Exactly. Maybe Blago wasn’t lying. I think Obama was probably involved in “selling” his Senate seat!
Yeah...I had thought about that after I hit “post.” I agree with you...this should be good.
He probably sent a NAKED Rahm Emanuel to corner the Judge in a shower stall to threaten him to release the records to expose Jack Ryan.
LOL The only intimidation more frightening than Jack Bauer!
About as wrong is the Fox Bloviator in chief.
Bush could, Bush didn't.
He'll step up if the mob doesn't make it impossible for him to process oxygen. I now think it was a good idea for him to have done TV. Harder for "them" to isolate him and control the narrative. He never seemed suicidal. /tinfoil
No, Bush couldn’t. It’s against the law.
