We need to be watching China right now very, very carefully.

Anyone posting from Korea that can confirm some of this? Seems to be a rich environment for rumors.

I know we have Freepers there.

"We need to be watching China right now very, very carefully."

I disagree. Since China took over Hong Kong, they have learned to enjoy the largess of capitalism. The Macau area is ripe with casinos and resorts, mostly built by Las Vegas Sands and Wynn enterprises. Although the leadership of China may be still oppressive, they are liking there wealth and growth and privilege, and the middle class is growing, which helps to stabilize their government. They are aggressively building out their rural areas.

Another fact: Chinese are buying more cars and property than in any other nation right now, not to mention technology.

The central government may be still be oppressive, but they are becoming more capitalistic by the day, as we become more socialist/marxist by the day. This is a different China. This is a different USA.
I feel confident they are not an enemy because they own to much of our dept (bonds) and need us to buy their crappy products. Think Walmart!

I firmly believe they will use what ever influence they still have over KimJunKill in NK. China doesn't want their best trading partners to go to war with some dumbass NORK pr*ck. China is looking at the long run. Yes, they want to be THE world power, but for now they are happy to have such great trading with the USA, South Korea, Australia, Europe, and even Japan.

I don't worry about China anymore. I worry about idiot rogues like North Korea and Iran.
